Got onboard, and gave him a bit of bla-de-blah about a Midnight Special 750 Virago I never owned. I advised him that he's got a REALLY RARE Limited-Edition bike, and so be sure to get top buck for it.:rofl_200:

Actually, the XS11 was a great bike, but the Midnight look sucked.
I liked the original red ones....

I dont know but he was pissed at me and cussed me :rofl_200:

He was like either FUCING bid or stop bothering me Douchbag!

I smell a rat here! I bet one of you lil cry babies narked me out.

It was a good idea but I see how we all stood together and got in on the fun, he said he has only had 3 people email him.

I emailed him about the square instrument cluster and the not so gold plated gold.

Told him that I owned both a 80 and a 81 midnight special XS11's and wanted to know if the bike was pieced together or reconstructed, cause I'm looking to get another XS.

Never did get a reply.

Didn't the auction start at $1500? I see that the auction ended at $2500 with no bids.... Did that ******* really raise the price? If so, way to go guys!!!!! I'm not sure if we should be proud of ourselves or not... being we just mess with someone that would most likely loose a fight with a plastic bag. :rofl_200:

Note to me ; don't piss this group off , keep my e-bay transactions secret , don't ask stupid ?s on e-bay . " what is the vin " answer : it's the same on the engine and motor " That helped a lot !.... , XS-650 won a lot of flat track races , a few by yours truly. Some still are built for nostalgic cafe racers.

Do you mean that old adage may be true: "Don't argue with a Idiot - People watching may not be able to tell the difference!
:biglaugh:

Absolutely , and the one " never argue with an idiot , they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience !

Don't laugh to hard guys! The older bikes are starting to bring in some big bucks now. The XS 1100 was the fastest on the road for a while. There are a few of them on the strip without much modification that are kicking 1st generation Vmax ass.

I ran in the 9's with mine..

All it took was head work, 38mm carbs, pistons, crank, chained, undercut trans, MRE lockup clutch and a little n2o and it was mid 9's with a 200lb rider.
OK, it drained my wallet but what the hell it was fun and streetable. :p
