I used to do this all the time with things like limewire,But there are so many viruses on them now im chicken. Is there anything else?Got some of those viruses on a old puter had to do a recovery to get it back,A lot of **** to go through for a cd,Don't want it to download on to my phone,Just to a cd,Is there anything you guy's know of?:confused2:.Thank you in advance,No matter how it goes.

I use frostwire and all my virus and malware goodies are up to date. My computer blocks a lot of beacons, analytics, cookies and virtually all forms of advertising. If your up to date and use judgement you should be ok, YMMV.

I use FLAC (lossless but much bigger files) files because I can hear the difference on my home setup but for a car CD an MP3 is fine, besides you can fit a lot of them on a CD. I use EAC to rip FLAC files from a CD and it works to put MP3 files onto a CD. On most of these programs you can simply put the MP3 files on a CD, or you can burn an "audio CD" which is probably what you will have to do to have it work in your car line any commercial CD would.

Not all cars will be able to read home burned CDs but most newer ones will. Even better if you have a stereo with a USB port, then you can just throw buttloads of stuff on a thumb drive and listen that way.

I have a 20+ yr old Lexus with stock CD changer and it works for MP3 audio CDs. My wifes 03 Acura works with that too but our old POS Buick did not play them.

Good luck

I've got a big collection of virus free tunes. Mostly older stuff, NO country or rap. Lots of singles and albums.. All in MP3 format. If ya like, I could load the whole thing onto a DVD and mail it off to you.

Pm me your address if you're interested.

That goes for anyone else, too!

I'd just dump the whole collection onto a disc. I'd still have them on my hard drive. Of course, I would send it to you as a gift to a fellow VMaxxer...

I downloaded frostwire but im unable to get it to play.During the download a window thing popped up and said it was unable to to find a file or something like that.Should i remove and reload it?Also do i have to use windows media player to copy the songs to cd.Can you walk me through this.

For running any questionable software or going to iffy sites (like ****) I use a piece of software called SandboxIE. It runs with any browser on any Windows PC. It works as a virtual sand box that isolates your hard drive from hidden downloads or viruses. They are held in quarantined temp folder and can't execute code to the drive:

https://www.sandboxie.com/

When you are done, you just empty the sand box and keep what you choose. (like MP3 files).

For music, I stopped using Napster, Bearshare, Limewire, etc... I just go to YouTube, find the music I want and use this web converter: http://www.theyoump3.com/

Sorry I missed this earlier. It takes a little getting used to. Im not home yet but the songs closer to the top with more seeds tend to go pretty well. Sometimes it takes a couple tries to find a song or album that will download. It does work as well as anything I have tried but there is a learning curve. I have learned to recognize a few users that consistently have quality files. Ill be home in a week, ill check in with you and see if there is anything I can do to help.

casey when it comes to computers,I truthfuly think im like a bull in a room full of chandeliers and there all hanging around two feet off the floor.and the room is made of glass.Nothing seems to fair to well when im done.thank you.like i said no matter how it goes.

I did what zues 36 recommend and the last part was download, how i found it was hit the windows icon on the bottom left typed in the song and it popped up.Hit that and it played on windows media player,I have to let it play through then x out then go to the media player and the song is there. drag it to the burn area,Insert a cd-r,Hit burn then start burn and it worked!I learned once the cd is used for that song that is it.I guess i should put more songs on the burn list before i start burning?I think im doing this the hard way,I tried frostwire it didnt work also tried ezvid theyou tube to mp3 thing was unavailable it said. This does work just feel like im making a lot of circles around this pig before getting on with it.Found the song on a file but now cant seem to find it.Anyhelp would be appreciated.Thank you guy's so much.Been messing with this for a couple of days.Im close.Thank you again.terry.
