I have a question regarding brake disks. I recently purchased a 1985 parts bike and noticed the rotors are vented much like in an automotive application. My 85 runner has solid disks that I am unsure as to whether they are original to the bike because it has an 88 up front wheel and an aftermarket 17" rear wheel. My question is twofold first what year models used the vented rotors and secondly are they lighter than the solid version?
