How about a double tube like the Triumph frame?

I think oval steel would be the best all round choice.

I have tabs welded on already, but my braces are a bit shit (cracked).

Braces like that are definitely NOT worth it to me. In fact, I want the damn things to disappear not stand out. I care about functionality first. Sure clamp on is easy and quick but welding two tabs and refinishing for a "stiffy" sounds like a no brainer to me! Go faster cheaper and safely has always worked for me!

Well... that's okay, nobody will force you to buy them and we all have our own priorities and taste... I like them standing out :eek:h yeah:

I have the bracket components fabbed up and will start putting something together pretty soon.
We'll never please everyone but I think they will be the most affordable option
available.

Done at last

Jedi....I am certainly not a structural engineer, however other than aesthetics, is there any reason that your frame braces bolt on the forward engine mount with a single bolt as opposed to directly on the frame with 2 bolts and why are the rear of the tubes mounted on the lower frame tube as opposed to higher on the angled tube.

I like the look of your braces better, but are you giving up anything in the way of structural stability by changing the mounting points? All of the other braces seem to use the higher rear mounting point and the double bolt/frame mounting point in the front. :ummm:

Just a FYI......
Holeshot uses the 2 mounts on the forward frame, and uses the high rear framemount..........

RMS uses the same single engine mount and the low rear frame mount as Jedi.

Holeshot has to use the double up front because of the design of the brace, it is not straight and rigid, because of the bend or loop at the rear you could get some shifting without 2 bolts. Dale also has to mount it high on the rear frame because its a bolt on, wouldn't be able to bolt on the frame in the low position......I tried.:ummm:

Jedi's design is exactly the same as RMS.....the front bolt on the mount is rigid enough because that section is part of the front frame , and the rear section needs to be at that low point, because if you take off the side cover you will see it lines up with the rear frame rail which increases the rigidity.

How do I know, I did all my homework and also made my own braces...if you take your tank cover, scoops, and side cover off you will see where you should be placing the brace.

Welded braces is a no brainer......not saying that the boltons dont work also.......

If you want to look pretty....use the extrapp.....thats why they have to use soo much material thickness and soo many bends and extra bolts to get some rigidity to work on their boltons.

That's the Otec, THE MOST expensive one I've ever seen. Don't quote me but I think that one is over $900 that's Insane!

I am in absolute love with that one, but god its overpriced. No way I could afford it.

And yes, it does stand out more than any other I have seen.

Pricing will be $200 Coated or $170 Unfinished. I think these will be available very soon though I have other parts already in process that he's working on too.

Sean

Hope there can be some nice close up pictures of finished product. Three cheers for Jedi and Sean! Hopefully Sean will be able to keep a few sets in hand as demand dictates.
