Happy birthday in advance to you and your Vmax in April! I was 28 that year working in a Yamaha dealer and when I saw the Vmax brochure I fell in love. Yamaha have always blazed their own trail and as we all know absolutely nailed it with the Vmax in 1985. Took me 32 years to get hold of one and restore it to the standard I wanted, but now I am fulfilled.

Congrats on that. I got mine (85 #747) on 5/1/85. I was 29. First one at our local dealership. Two friends worked there and knew I was looking due to all the magazines at the time. 48,218 miles now. Do my own work on her including the 2nd gear replacement. Only bike I own.
