I just got some ZWax when I was at Biketoberfest. Guy cleaned my glasses with it and it was great, huge difference in clearity. So I used it on the face shield on my helmet. WOW, what a difference.
I have a scorpion EXO 700, it's anti fog shield has always worked as advertised. It has never fogged on me.
The ZWax cleaned it up nicely with no ill effects as of yet.

I wear a Scorpion EXO 700. Best helmet I've owned. Not much wind noise and never had a problem with fogging. I wear the same helmet riding my snowmobiles and still no fogging. Great helmet for the money. $180.00
I agree. No fogging on the Scorpion 700.
I payed 300 for the thing! I guess the 1000 has brought the price down quite a bit.

Yup exactly why i bought it. LOL
Plus I was not impressed with the pump up cheek things in the 1000. But I did want that built in flip down sun visor.

That's the rub, they "are" that much better, at least I know the Arai's are. Really quiet and comfy. I bought mine of the shelf without doing any online deal shopping so I spilled seven bills on it. It's light years ahead of my old Shoei, but still..... quite the kidney punch to the ol' bank card.

Excellent helmet article from Motorcyclist Magazine that every biker should read:

I spent $140 for my HJC CL-SP Type O. Works and is plenty comfy.

Thanks, Excellent read.

I just had a discussion with one of the surgeons I work with (I'm a nurse). He can afford any helmet he wants. He wear a $100 HJC prety much for the reasons this article states. I think I'm going low $ when i get a new lid.

Thanks for the link, long read, but very informative.

What it really makes me wonder, with the continuously growing population of motorcyclist everywhere, is why there isn't more research available. So much of the crash data comes from a very limited pool of studies. You'd think there would be a lot more current research being funded.

Hope I don't hit the deck too hard in my $700 helmet. :bang head:

I read that article also, went with a Shoei TZR cost me about $225
after coupon at Cyclegear. Came down to comfort for me, the
Shoei just felt good. Yea, the shield fogs up like crazy.
Chris

I DON'T RIDE IF IT'S BELOW 65 DEG. SO HOPEFULLY I'LL NEVER KNOW IF MY SHIELD FOG'S UP OR NOT !:rofl_200::biglaugh::rofl_200:

I got a skid lid brand half helmet at a local shop. Picked up the helmet and a set of yellow "tweaker shades" as I like to call em for less than $45. The glasses are great. No need for separate shades day or night. The helmet is comfy but no matter what I do, the helmet rises off the top of my head proportionately with my speed. At about 115 mph it feels like its trying to choke me. Its worse than the death wobble. Guess thats what I get for being a cheap ass. Its nice for cruising around though. For some reason I don't enjoy riding with a full face as much. Feels like it cuts me off from the world. But, when it gets down to 50 something degree weather I wear a full face I "borrowed" from a buddy a while ago who never asked for it back. HJC. Don't know which one. Shield gets foggy if your not moving and you don't crack it a touch.

I tried a bunch of helmet s on the other day, only one i really like was tehIcon Mainframe. Was $230 - 20%, so i went home to think abuot it, looked on ebay and Found one with the Manic graphics for $110 plus shipping so i orded that. Other wise i would of just gotten a new shield for my AGV.
