Interest to Request a Firearm Section????

PATMAX: I agree and will become a dues paying member of this site soon. It was Buster who suggested we give a gun thread a try. So, when do you want to start working for Magpul.:biglaugh:

Yes, there are gun sites that have what I'm trying to do here. I have much more in common with everyone here and I for one am more comfortable here than at a lot of other sites.

At this point, it is up in the air how well the "Guns" will be received. If Buster says No Go, I will accept that and move on, But I will still become a contributer here.

I get the Gunbroker newsletter and a couple reseller newsletters but that is the extent of my firearms involvement. Looks like you get to "moderate' said forum. i don't own guns so feel like i don't have much of a leg to stand on (altho am in favor of gun ownership),

but as was said this is a vmax forum, a few threads here or there make sense but i'd prefer to not have a gun seciton.

I'm about as pro gun as you can get, and I have no interest in a specific section devoted to firearms.
Leave it in the burn out pit for the time being and pay attention. Guns come up every few months or so, but I don't think the subject has enough traffic here to warrant a sub-forum.

Just to be open minded, I would say I don't mind much as long as the forum keeps its purpose (motorcycle, v-max). I not really interested in firearms, not really in my culture so far, although I appreciate that you guys are asking for opinion.

What Sig do you have? I have the P239 chambered in .357 Sig. This gun has shot flawless from day one. Sometimes you do get what you pay for.

dunno about Pat, but i have a 226 DAK in .40 - homeland security edition. great duty gun and for home defense... gotta love tritium sights ;] unfortunately, it's for sale to fund my recent V-Max spending spree :confused2:

just saw where you're from... 226 happens to be required as carry for most police agencies in your state, which is why i bought this one to begin with :biglaugh:

Wow, there's a lot of conflict over starting a seperate firearms section. I didn't foresee that being the case. Here in the area of Tampa Bay, the majority of riders that I talk with carry a concealed weapon and are very interested. I've heard that Tampa outranks Miami now for violent crimes. I don't even go out the front door without being armed.

I respect all of you here, it takes a very special person to ride a VMax. A small percentage of the population is even capable of controlling one.

I have enough enemies in the world now. Not wanting to gain any more, especially here, I'm perfectly happy to post firearms threads in the Burn Out Pit and drop my request for a seperate section. Please respect the firearms threads when we do post in the BOP. If you don't like firearms, please just ignore them when they pop up as new post..
