Vigilantie groups form in response to Narco Terrorism in the Baja California region:

"...the hopelessness, the human suffering and the complete inability of many of the authorities to provide security, many well intentioned honest people who want to defend their heritage and families would find themselves in a position if signing up with these groups of generating more risks than benefits."

Today at the Fifth Regional Forum for Crime Victims, Javier Sicilia defended the grupos de autodefensa stating that they "...want to preserve the social fabric and to abandon them is allowing the crime to destroy us." Regarding their legitimacy, Javier Sicilia said that since the police do not have the ability to preserve public safety, the emergence of such groups is indeed legitimate.

Instead of condemning the self defense groups, the authorities according to Sicilia need to work together with them. And, although Sicilia acknowledged the willingness of the Federal Government's security strategy, he also pointed out that "...the numbers of the victims continue to rise".

- Rosarito Beach: all agencies reporting a Municipal Police Officer and six others arrested for their involvement in child ****ography and a young girl rescued in colonia Camino Verde. The officer had offered 4,390 pesos not to be arrested:

- TIJUANA: Take the time to read the full report and comments from Frontera, summarized is that Rigoberto Carano Garcia who was kidnapped in the East Zone by armed gunmen on 04/06/2013 in front of his wife and children was a no win situation. His family could not afford to pay the complete ransom, in desperation they sold all of their belongings and neighbors also helped out by giving them things to sell. The kidnappers lowered the ransom to half a million pesos.

According to this report, the family immediately notified the Municipal Police following the kidnapping and reported the abduction. What they found out later after inquiring was that there was no police record of the kidnapping or of the family's report, nor did the police report the crime to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit. The family themselves then went to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit in Playas who indicated they would talk to them after the kidnappers demanded a ransom...which the kidnappers had already done.

Seven days after the kidnapping on 04/13/2013, the family delivered the ransom money, but the whereabouts of Rigoberto was not given to them. They looked everywhere - by themselves - and finally found him at Semefo - dead from suffocation and shot. According to the records at Semefo, Rigoberto's body was found in Las Delicias.

Pay no attention to the corpse with the gunshot wounds. MEXICO IS THE PLACE YOU WANT TO BE.

PEPOS arrest three men in colonia Parejes del Valle with loaded firearms based on a citizen's complaint, one of them is a Rosarito Beach Police officer. Forensics tests show that one of the weapons had been used in a homicide as well as other incidents in Tecate. One of the men had been previously arrested for having a kilo of mota:

Lets see, cop involved in altercation has a gun that has been used to murder someone?? AND HE IS FROM ROSARITO????:ummm:

What's mota? :confused2:

Oh....it's slang for weed according to the 'urban dictionary'. :smoke000:

I am DEFINITELY NEVER going to Mexico. Place looks like murder waiting to happen down there.

It's really a shame. I love going to Mexico and love the people (at least away from the border town tourist traps). These drug cartels are ruining a great country. Every day I read about some atrocity perpetrated by the cartels. The government isn't doing very well and there is a lot of corruption, partly out of greed and partly out of fear. Maybe an armed citizenry might fix the problem. If these punks knew they could be shot every time they started their crap, it might help. :confused2:

Like I said I have been shot and killed 3 times and beheaded twice. :rofl_200:

Don't bother coming, you couldn't hack it. Stay in Illinois where everyone is safe from crime.

A different picture for sure. San Diego/ Tijuana Olympic games. Right on!
There are two kinds of people in life. One kind will piss and moan about everything. The other will go out and live life. I suggest your vendetta is just about boring every one. You don't like Mexico. Fine, never come here. Stay in Illinois. I will admit a person does need an adventuresome spirit to expand their horizons, it is a wonder how your ancestors ever left Europe or Africa, where ever you come from, but I have been living here for two years and it's good.
I know I'm treated a lot better here than Mexicans are treated in the U.S. At least that seems to be true. I don't have an axe to grind but you sure seem to.

Acapulco: 'I Was Gang ***** and Tortured and Mexican Authorities Did Nothing'

According to Sandy, who first visited the country aged five on a summer holiday with the family, things in Guerrero started deteriorating, as a turf war between two recently formed groups - the Michoacan Family and the Templar Knights - erupted.
"Everybody says that if you have nothing to do with drug business you don't have anything to worry about but that's simply not true."

End Torture in Mexico

Miriam L?pez was arbitrarily arrested and tortured by Mexican soldiers. In order to get Miriam L?pez to implicate herself and others in drug trafficking offences, they subjected her to electric shocks, near asphyxiation and ***** her three times. Miriam L?pez was eventually released without charges. She has been brave enough to file a formal complaint, but nobody has been brought to justice.
Miriam Lopez is not the only one. In the last few years thousands of Mexicans have reported torture and ill-treatment at the hands of soldiers and police. In the vast majority of these cases those responsible are never held to account.

In 2012 the UN recommended a set of measures for Mexico to implement to combat torture, but so far the government has not taken them forward.

Better get Amnesty international on the phone Dave and let them know their information is totally false!!!!!
:thumbs up:

On the other hand maybe you can contact some of your great investegative news reporters to do an expose on Illinois National Guard soldiers gang raping Nuns and school children. It happens all the time and the conservatives are blocking any reports.
