Went to get my tins today... New clearcoat with supreme 4000 grit leveling and buffing. They look killer now. Didn't take any pics coz i was afraid the flash could scratch it... :biglaugh:

Installed a 35Amp circuit breaker as master switch for the battery. Will wire it as master ground... This wiring is a mess. I need to sort it out. The NOS wiring has been redone and ready to install. This weekend im gonna be busy...

Hey Fred, Take a look at the PC-8 power distribution block it might end up useful in your wiring project.
I have been using one for month, I only can tell how it made my life easier :p

For now i just want to get this thing running. I knew about that power box but i still need the blinker relay, fuel pump relay and NOS relay so i decided to go for a Hella fuse box for now...

Well... Been at work again. Finished my stainless plate holder for Yeti and re-did the NOS system on Grizzly. New solenoids and new hoses. Now im just missing wiring it to the harness... Still waiting for the spacer for the clutch cover, got a special item though. A friend cut me a round bronze glazed glass for my clutch clearcover, its gonna be bad ass, shows mirror when off but when i start the bike the leds inside will turn it into see through... saweet!!!...

Made some thru-hull fittings from brass bolts to use with my MAP (the sync ports are being used by NOS foggers). Tried to find the real deal but i lost my patience and decided to make them myself. Got some M8 hex brass bolts and got them rolling on the lathe. I still need to taper the head for flush flow but so far thats what i got. Now i need to drill some 8mm holes on the intakes and get some 8mm o-rings to fit everything together, im gonna use at least 2 for the MAP but im installing 4 of them for syncing purposes...

The thing is alive!... but bleeding... ****... leaking oil and coolant. Everything identified though. The oil leak is on the crankcase cover and the coolant leak is on the thermostat housing (that one i already got solved, regardless of having to dismantle half the bike - radiator, hoses and headers). For the oil leak i think i'll order a new o-ring? the funny shaped one on the cover and then get it fixed, i try to avoid using silicon based sealing on oil circuit due to small orifices that can be clogged by small silicon pellets that can come loose and get inside. Got my new ignition unit in place and got the wiring set and routed (that took a while to figure out). Also got some more bolts bolted and nuts tightened...

All the leaks resolved time to assemble everything back up again. Now just need to program the TCI and do the trivial stuff like bleeding brakes and clutch and some more bolts to get in place and should be running strong tomorrow. Took some pictures of the vacuum ports in place to feed the MAP for the TCI... Can't wait to ride it again!...

Yes... Brakes and clutch bled... Now time to go fiddle with the ignition. Im having issues with the COM port. The program runs through the ports but it doesn't stick to one so i cannot connect to the bike... I need to go read this stuff, to bad i left my CD back home...

Today as a bad day that turned good and then really bad again... I had some starting problems that new plugs corrected. Took the bike out and noticed i still have an oil leak and i got a short that kept me from restarting. It seems its some problem with the RR or the stator. Un plugged the RR and came back home relying on the battery alone. Needed to remove fuses for lights, couldn't remove the fuse for the gauges because htat shut down my fuel pump. So the bike is now on the garage again for some more disassembling and troubleshooting... Im getting tired and desperate... Thats how it looks now...

After a major setback my bike is back running. Replaced the charging system and sealed the oil leak on the rear head... So what i have now is this pretty setup (still need to weld the RR bracket to the fender)... Removed all the connectors and hard wired the RR to the battery. Now i have these readings:

Idle, lights out - 14.45v
3000 rpm - 14.5v
Idle, light on (50w) - 14.3v
Idle, light on, fan on - 13.5v

Sounds like you got it sorted Fred. Good for you. Hopefully you will be putting some miles on soon.

Hi Mike

Sometimes its frustrating that when we wanted it ready it just keeps failing on you. I had an oil leak pounding my head for almost a month. And when i only have the weekends to work on it makes it even worse. If any of you think of refurbishing the bike, double the planned time and budget. There are always things that show up and you were not counting on them. I already missed most of the rallies this summer. At least im going to one in a couple weeks...
