Hey guys, (I use guys as a generic term, sorry). Old dude who rides motorcycles, drives hot rods, plays golf and loves music. Currently own a new to me 2007 VMax, a scrambler built from a 2001 Suzuki TLR1000, and a 1965 Triumph Bonneville T120C
Thanks for the kind words and manual. The only dirt the TLR has been on was a half mile flat track just for fun. The Mikuni‘s were used on the Triumph because when I drug it out of the shed it was in it hadn’t run in 30 years. I did not know if I would be able to get it running and I know Mikuni‘s better than I know Amals. No baffles in the Triumph pipes. The Vmax I bought from the original owner and he really loved his bike. That's an interesting group of bikes. The Mikunis on the Triumph probably work better than worn-out Amals. Do the pipes have any sort of baffles?
Has the TL1000 ever been on dirt?
The VMax looks clean. Here's a factory manual. VMX12- Service-Manual.pdf (vmoa.net) Save it and print-out a copy for the shop.

Thanks for the welcome. The VMax has a heavy front end. I thought my TLR was a slow speed pig but it is nimble compared to the Yamaha.Welcome. Those are beautiful bikes. How's the ride with the Vmax?
You're welcome.Thanks

It helps if the bike knows you are on it. I am 6'1" and weigh 240lbs. That said, my Max handles like a dream! You're welcome.
Is it something that you can just get used to?
Welcome
Really like that scrambler build!!
How often do you use it?Thanks. When we did it there weren’t very many like it. Now there are websites devoted to them.
