Use the search feature, you can find many posts on the subject. Did they come with resistors? The system has to have the same as stock load to work well.

Welcome WeeMan I dont,t know the technical answer but i can tell you this . Stock signal bulbs require a specified number of watts for the flasher to work and LED's have almost no watts by comparison. The forum should have some chatter about that or if you know someone who is handy with electricity. " Can't resist the twist"

Hi,
Name is Stephen I live in Northants near Kettering and own a 1999 Gen1 VMAX.
Currently trying to get my indicators working after converting to LED’s.
😈
LEDs fitted and working, I left the resistors in place then piggybacked a variable 3 pin LED flasher unit onto
the original 5 pin Denco unit. I removed the original flasher wire and replaced it with the new LED flasher wire.
Thanks for your comments.

To all newby's
If you feel you want to support by a donation just be forwarned its like a subscription to a time share!!! They feel free to charge you every year without warning! and now you have no one to even talk too about it.

All you have to do to cancel your recurring membership is to click your username at the right-top of your screen, then click 'supporting membership', scroll down and click the cancel button. Not really all that difficult, although I was also surprised the first time my membership renewed automatically. It's a worthwhile investment...plus - stickers!!!

I understand some may consider the auto renewal something they don't want, and that it should be told to them that is how it's set-up. As xoker mentioned, you can cancel that feature. I volunteer to do the moderator thing because I enjoy helping others work through problems, and to refer our members who offer services, like new and used parts, to those who need them I am one of those 'needy' people!

Also, sometimes I make a mistake, and someone will soon chime-in to correct me. My personal hobby is things VMax and I like to read what others have done, and the resources for new and used parts helps us to keep our bikes functional. The OEM parts are starting to become less and less, just look at a dealer's microfiche, and you will see that.

We need to keep this site economically-viable, because if it goes down, we all lose.
