Re: NFL Lounge - 2009

Damn, I was hoping the Seahawks would lose!! Picking 8th vs 21st in the first round is a no brainer, or so I thought. Well, bring on N.O. next Saturday LOL.

I don't know if getting the top picks are what turns teams around. Sure it doesn't hurt to get the best players but look at Detroit and all the top picks they have had. I think a lot of it has to do with the the teams ability to pick the right players that are a fit for the team and coaching that can get the most out of those players.

True enough, I seem to remember a bust named Rick Mirer or even better Brian Bosworth that the Hawks drafted high in the first round and got squat out of them. Still would rather have picked 8th instead of 21st. Hopefully Pete Carroll and the GM will do as well in the 2011 draft as they did last year!! I will say I was pleasently surprised by the performance of "Clipboard Jesus" last night, didn't think he had it in him!!

Re: NFL Lounge - 2009

Pat's no name defense gets it done. 14-2 in a rebuilding season. Peaking at the right time.Too many weapons on offense for a defense to handLe. Only their own mistakes can stop them. Still, all records are now 0-0. The real season starts.
GO PATS

That a awesome hook up from the bro in law! That should be a helluva game to watch!
I would love to go to Hienz Field for a game. I'm gonna have to get with Bill Kratz and setup a game so I can ride down, do some riding with Bill, Mikey, others in the area then hit up a Steelers game on Sunday. It would have to be early in the season though for me to ride there!

Re: NFL Lounge - 2009

Well I've been blessed with 3 trips to watch the Chiefs this year(Broncos,Rams,Raiders)but wifey says it's back to the easy chair snuggled up by the vmax for the rest of the playoffs for me :bang head::confused2:
KC get your snow shovels ready and put on them chains and go get Loud and Proud for us that can't make it to Arrowhead this week!!!

Re: NFL Lounge - 2009

My picks for this weekend. I mostly go for underdogs. I ate it up seeing the Steelers win their last SB. Hopefully, realization hit the Chiefs between the eyes last weekend. Keeping a big boy or two in the back field will help. If they play the same as their last game, and the Ravens play their norm, the Chiefs stats last week will look pretty good compared to this coming game.

Sea, Jets, KC, GB

GO JETS!
Really can't stand Rex or his team....lol
Just want them in the lions mouth again since they talk so much sh** Hope to see you in Foxboro Rex,but Payton would have to really have his worst game to loose to you. Not likely.

Looks like the SeaBirds are gonna pull it out, up 11 now. Started looking bad @ 3 min left in 3rd qtr when the wheels started coming off but to their credit the pulled it back together and scored a decisive TD. (see KJ's video of Marshawn Lynch's 67 yd TD run)
Slacker's prediction #1 Sea - GOOD! Knocks out N.O., last years SB champs, and are first one out of playoffs.
Slacker's prediction #2 Jets - GOOD! Knocks out Indy on a FG with 3 secs remaining.
Slacker's prediction #3 KC - NOT GOOD! KC knocked out by a tough Ravens team.
Slacker's prediction #4 GB - GOOD! GB controls Vick and beats Philly.

Three out of four, doing great so far!
