I brought a better trigger/nozzle attachment from home (I'm at work) we have 120psi here. Yesterday I had to rig up an attachment that didn't work very well, hopefully this one helps!!

So I'm in the process of doing the shotgun..... Should I actually remove PAJ 1 and PAJ 2 when I blow them out with air? Also thought I'd share what jets are in there PAJ1 is a 100 PAJ2 is a 170

No change AGAIN! So whats next? Vacuum leak somewhere? Wouldn't it run like crap all the time? HEEEEEEEEELP

No, they looked pretty clean from doing the shotgun yesterday. Are there suppose to be any hoses on the bowl vents?

Yes, but many of us remove them when going to stage 7. If you hang a float, the gas ends up on your hot engine, without the hoses.
Since you had crud on your needles, I think it may still be elsewhere in your circuits too. Some, a shotgun won't reach. Tear the carbs down, inspect all your rubber boots while cleaning the carbs. Have a means to sync. There are plenty of carb specialist on this forum. Dannymax will send them back in top shape. Highly recommended.

Do you have any idea whathe charges to tear them down? I know cost will vary depending on parts but.... Also, those cant be cheap to ship those?!

Pm dannymax. I've had him do three sets for me including a complete set of venture carbs.... Still haven't spent $1k. Simple clean and rebuild is very reasonable.

Yep.....might be time for dannymax. ....he did mine. I'm wanting to say around 30 bucks to ship....but I'm going off of memory.

I'm going to try to put some carb cleaner in the bowl vents again. Could this issue be something with the v-boost? I'm not familar with how v-boost actually works. I really want to cover everything before I pull the carbs!

This is kind of off this subject but how involved of a job is it to change the valve cover gasket? do you guys usually change both at the same time and do the bolts need to be torqued? Also where do you guys order them from, I saw a few different venders on ebay but one is only $18 and the other is $46....... is there a difference?
THanks for helping a new guy out!

Don't know if this will help diagnose the problem or not but this is my filter set up......

Well your missing the wye that should cover the oval hole but don't think that would do what your describing might want to talk to Sean Morley about a replacement just to cover yourself, it really sounds like you have dirt or some sort of crude in your jet block you could chase your tail trying to avoid pulling the carbs and two weeks will go by and in that time or less you could have taken them off and either sent them in or cleaned them yourself, don't fault you for trying but look at the big picture here you might be wasting valuable riding time if in the end you pull them off anyway, IMO of course i'm only saying this cause I just went thru what your going thru now :)

Thanks man....... I'm kind of lucky in the fact that I can do this while at work because it's slow when working nights! This just really sucks I've only had the bike 3 weeks and this has been going on for two weeks already.

For now should I tape up the oval opening in the air box?

I would say no.....because you don't know how much to tape it up. That is what allows air to get to the carbs. I would just get with Sean. ...or post on here that you want to buy one.
