Yea that looks very wrong - and only to get a fatter tire? Makes no sense to me.

My Shinko rear 170 went in without any mod - wheel is as centered as with the original 150 and still has between 1/8 and 1/4 inch clearance between tire and driveshaft. I know it's not rubbing even at speed as there are no marks on the tire edge and the little rubber nipples are still intact!

I love my Shinkos they feel SO MUCH better than those crappy Dunlops..

You wont rub at high speed, tire will grow narrow the higher the speed and grow taller.. Watch a top fuel dragster do a burnout you can see this happen

what makes the rear tire be so off center? The Shinko's wont do that i hope...? i can't imagine that is safe?????

That is a wheel problem, not tire. Some of the Vmax aftermarket wheels are offset to the right too much.

I know if I bought a wheel for 500+ dollars and went through all that trouble installing it and it had an offset like that, I would take it off and demand my money back with return payment for shipping, labor for installing the tire. Looks like crap!

There is a guy on ebay selling VMAX wheels with an offset like this from the rear name is something like eightsenuff. Before you buy any 17/18 wheel ask the seller for a pic from the rear straight on, or you will have an off centered wheel like boxxenstopp is selling.

got my 170 and 120 shinko's in yesterday! Can't beat $145 shipped from BikeBandit. Ordered on Saturday, they were here Thursday. They're at the shop right now waiting for my rims to be done being p/c'ed. can't wait 'til i put them on.. then let it sit for 3 months....:real mad: damn winter.

It should not because I believe it has the same profile (/90)

So 110/90 and 120/90 should pretty much be the same diameter, right?

The 110 tire gives a total wheel height of 22.8 inches. The 120 is 23.5 inches.

So, the 110 tire has a rolling distance of 71.63 inches and the 120 is 73.83 inches.

The speedo will read a bit lower than stock. I think this is okay because even stock it reads high and gets progressively worse once you hit 60 mph or so.

Diameter sizes are different for the 110/90 and the 120/90, at least according to this tire size calculator, it can be found in the VMF links section.

110/ 90 diameter = 25.795"
120/ 90 diameter = 26.504"

It will with me on the back :rofl_200:, No I've given a few of my friends that are my size (290+) quick rides to the store during beer runs and there was no problems. My gal pal is 125lbs can't tell if she's even there.
