WOW those polished diaphragm covers totally threw me off! I thought you had some seriously weird **** in your carbs for a moment lol :blink000:
So i took the bolts off of the end of my exhaust and there is one stainless steel plate. Is that the base plate or does that count as one? That one rests right on the end of the exhaust.
I think i'm gonna order from dennis kirk as well soon...
also, i don't have the bike with me right now, the 4" disks are the ones i want right?
Yes, you will want the 4" discs. If the stainless plate you are refering too has a opening in the middle and holes for the bolts, then yes that is one disc.
Beautiful. I'm not sure why there isn't more disks or an end-cover, but i wanted to know if there was supposed to be some special base-disk or if I was missing it... Sounds like no to both!
Thanks Mitchell!

will do. I actually got some used side panels as my bike didnt' come with them and put them on yesterday and messed with the exhaust. it was actually harder to get the bolts off that hold on the side panels then the exhaust ones!
Thanks for all the info! I think i'll order a 18 total disks and some ends today. My bolts are about 3 - 4" long, those will be long enough for 9 disks each side eh?
thanks again!
The stainless end cap bolts will be plenty long and work just fine.
Hell don't know if I am even posting this in the right spot but thanks a lot guys:eusa_dance:I'm running 11 discs per side with a K&N and only thing I did was adjust the A/F and sync the carbs. It seems a little rich while reading the plugs so I bought some 147.5's that were recomended, I have yet to install them cause its now winter. bike runs like a raped ape and gets decent milage so I didn't want to mess with it during the abreviated summer. Generally you shouldn't have to mess with rejetting when using slip-ons.
Make sure you have the plugs that cover your A/F screws removed, otherwise you might not noticed them if its your first time adjusting them.
The plugs are circled in the picture and the screws are directly behind them.
Thanks naughtyG and KJ for the infor and pictures on the AF screw location I was truly baffled:ummm:
