This is the whole press conference. It was stressed that this is not about where Obama was born, but the authenticity of the document. Explains everything. all the findings are all laid out. forensic experts and all. Sheriff Arpaio said there going to turn over all the findings to the Federal Government,Congress. I have no clue about the ramifications of this, any charges or whatnot, but it will be interesting to watch. Maybe he should wait till January 20th.

I didnt watch much beyond the video they presented. I'll try to watch the rest of it later. But here's some advice I would offer them: Work on your presentation skills and practice your presentation. If you present your evidence in a bad way, you end up discrediting your case.

They say "It's not about Obama, this is about the evidence. We let the evidence direct the case."

Then the investigator quite literally states he approached the case from the perspective of guilty until proven innocent. That alone is going to discredit you in terms of being objective and impartial. But then to add to that they then explain how the evidence for years kept leading them to the conclusion that its a legit document and yet they wouldnt accept it where the evidence was leading them. They kept at it. Again, discredits your opening statements.

Perhaps they answer the next question I have later in the video, but here it is:

"What validation was done on the Joanna Lahee birth cert to ensure it was a legitimate birth cert? You're presenting me with two birth certs that share similarities, but you're presenting under the assumption that it's Obama's cert that was copied from Lahees and not the other way around. What did you do to prove that Lahee's birth cert wasn't the forgery?"

Did they explain that at all?

At the end of the video, Arpaio said there was more sensitive info, that they were not going to discuss. As far as presentation, I agree with you. This was just a press conference for average people. I would hope the case would be presented by lawyers, with these guys as witnesses

Not sure if that slam was directed at me or the OP, or both of us, so I'll just comment on why I believe this is true. I have a thought process I use for things like this, here it is condensed.

1. What am I being asked to believe
2. Is there any evidence to support it
3. How else can said evidence be interpreted
4. Credibility of involved parties considered
5. All things considered, what is most likely too be the truth.

The murky water starts to become clear when it gets boiled down to this point.

I admit that I didn't get much past their presented video but it is pretty compelling. Add that too the credibility issues of the administration in question and it's pretty hard not to see that this is highly likely to be a complete truth. The timing strikes me as odd but its not nearly enough to counter everything else here.

I know we dont agree on politics but this seems personal. While I have made my fair share of generalizations about liberals and lefties I have never attacked you personally. So what does it say about those of us here that believe this based on hard evidence presented? Please be specific.

If I was a lawyer, I wouldn't admit it here. I'd be tarred and feathered. :rofl_200:

But no I just think it's a logical common sense question. They have two documents with 9 points of similarity. So similar that experts say ONE of these documents is most likely forged off the other. So what did they do to prove which one was the forged document?

The way the evidence was presented(to the point I stopped watching) was they didn't do anything to prove which one was the forged document. It's just assumed if there is forgery -- it's Obamas that's the fake. Again, maybe they addressed how they validated Lahees as the legit, but if they didn't then that's a pretty big omission that I would think any career investigator would realize is a problem. And since they spent 10 mins claiming all the criticism they've been dealing with for years, you'd think they'd prepare better for obvious problems with their case. Be ready for people to look at shooting holes in the case. Try to make as bulletproof as possible.

They go out of their way to claim "This isn't about Obama. Take his name of the cert." Ok, take his name off the cert. Take her name off her cert. Now tell me which one is the forgery and how you determined that.

Then the investigator tried to claim he's white knighting it... that his motive to is PROVE Obama's cert is legit. So from that perspective you'd think they would show where they researched and validated the legitimacy of the other cert. After all it's being used as proof that Obama's is fake and they claim they're trying to prove Obama's is legit. Why would they not validate the other cert? Seems like even using their logic they aren't really presenting the case correctly.

The timing is sure interesting. The other candidate raised the scandal bar so damn high that a single forged document lacks punch. This issue will be long forgotten while we're still trying to cope with/clean up the messes his administration created. I agree. It's time to move forward. We get to do all this again in 4 years and there is no possible way it could be worse unless we get to choose between Kanye West and Bruce Jenner.

I hope this massive divide doesnt make this more difficult than it needs to be, but it's a big factor. Since you brought it up, yea, 20t in debt is off the charts insane. Whatever we were doing to allow that to happen, we need to now do the opposite. I hope everyone can see from both sides of the divide that we have an unsustainable situation, and we might be able to now unwind some of that debt. Maybe we can get gov out of healthcare and stop blowing China now too?

I will give the Obama administration credit for one, he's working to secure funding for Planned Parenthood. I will applaud him for that. The anti-choice crowd wont care for it but for society as a whole will benefit greatly.

It's been held together by the Constitution and the governing laws. Now, With this example of Felony deception, Hilarys crimes, as laid out by Comey, Illegal immigration policy and multiple other examples, That law is proving to be irrelevant to justify an end. We're supposed to be all equal under the law. I would say, not so much.

This is the EXACT BS Trump tried to float back when did that press conference claiming the Birther movement was created by Hillary and Trump was just proving them wrong. That he "finished it." The timing of this is indeed very interesting. We have the intelligence community agreeing that Russia has hacked into our systems and no one mentions it, but we choose to discuss whether or not an outgoing president is really a citizen or not. Obama has been in office for 8 years with a lot of fierce and powerful opposition, if he was indeed not a US citizen I'm quite sure evidence would have come to light a long time ago. This is just another case of using misinformation to pull people away from the real story, that there is proof Russia hacked into our systems and it was supported by Trump. I find it hard to believe that the security breach of our country is less important than a story about a birth certificate of an outgoing president.

I believe it is almost certainly true that it was forged, I also believe he was likely born elsewhere, I just dont really care. Why else would he not simply provide his birth certificate, or a copy, when asked for it? Like Trumps tax returns, there is probably something to hide.

The investigators have to know there is nothing to be gained from this now. Why bother with falsifying evidence when there is no potential gain but plenty to loose if that ever comes to light. Does anyone really think Obama would be held more accountable than Hillary? Compared to her crimes and deception this is really very minor. So why even bother or waste resources builiding a case against an outgoing POTUS who could probably not be prosecuted at any point of his presidency. In a twist, if it does happen I can pretty much guarantee Trump would pardon him, just as he would Hillary.


It's what we get when we condone a system that only allows the sleaziest greasiest motherfuckers in our country to be nominated for POTUS. Other countries have got to be laughing at us, at least until they realize what a dangerous volatile guy the Trumpster is.
