+1, Helmet tap.
'cept for being on a snowmachine. Then its warning of moose by opening both hands wide and putting your thumbs on the temple region of your helmet.

Cause it really sucks when this happens and this was just a little one.

That's frickin crazy! But, at the same time, looks like you're taking a swing at Bullwinkle, and that's not cool.

That's not me, people here know better than to stop for the moose. I have no idea where that picture was taken.
I've been chased a few times, had a big ol bull w/ about a 60" rack come out of the woods at me. I don't know if he wanted a hug or what, I wasn't about to stick around and find out.

I prefer watching them from my porch. :biglaugh: here is a couple of young ones from a couple of years ago.

I wave at everybody when I can and don't get hooked on if they wave back or not. I'd rather watch the road in front of me. I have my own salute, 4 fingers spread in the middle. V- 4!

I love it when 8-10 Harleys go by in the opposite lane and the dudes riding all act tough but there girls on the back wave :biglaugh:.. I pretty much salute everybody. If they don't wave back I couldn't care less.

I mostly wave to everyone unless I'm about to shift and have my left hand on the clutch in which case I give them the nod.. 95% of the Harley guys around here are really cool and always ask me questions about my bike, there are a few that try to snub me but I could really give a **** because I wouldn't want people like that as friends anyway... I've done both the helmet tap and flashing my brights to warn of a speed trap before too... The way I see it is we are all brothers and sisters out here and we have to look out for each other, from the sounds of it I'm glad to live in the area that I do because for the most part that's exactly what we do. Ride safe brothers :)

2 finger wave here and helmet tap for "ride smart" to signify a cop or some other event that requires other riders to pay better attention.

Leg kick signaling when riding with sport bike buddies in a pack.

Middle finger in the air in reply to an ******* cager event.

Going through Richmond VA. on 360 there was a few guy's on harley about 20 or more man I went pass them and give them hi hand. I got the F-finger from about 10 to 14 of them. Man it look like a few turn around after me. This guy's look mean to. "O" man I did give them the F-finger back. I did hit the gas some and they got drop. But not sure if the was after me though. Just they pull out after I give them the finger and the was behind me for about 4 to 10 miles..

Not ALL Harley riders are ********...granted at least half of them are but not ALL . The same applies to sportbikers who stunt and wheelie...AND believe it or not , even VMax riders who are caught up in the moment and sit at a light and do a burn-out...:bang head:

So , lets just take in the life of a motorcyclist and enjoy the ride...:punk:

Wow could back up and get out of there.

While I was working on the ambulance, a friend of mine responded to a call at the wildlife refuge, where a Buffalo blindsided a biker and and stomped him.

If I can do it safely, I nod or wave to everyone on two (or three) wheels. It doesn't matter two hoots to me if they acknowledge by waving back.
What amuses me is that special breed of biker (regardless of the ride), who when waiting at stoplights, refuses to even look in your direction, let alone wave or nod, when you are passing.
Just happened to me a few days ago. A peapot helmeted biker on a SS equipped chopped custom, his hands 4 feet in the air on his bars, kept his eyes straight ahead, his mean&bad expression unchanged, as I passed him at a stoplight. Amusing , to say the least.
Cheers!

One of our motorcycle cops here stopped at a red light across from me one day. He just randomly started doing bodybuilder poses while sitting there. Not a wave, but it was pretty damn funny.

Down under, no-one is waving or nodding at all. I find it so sad. So I wave (or more usually nod) at all bikers anyway, and every now and then I get a nod back. Makes me happy.

You know why he didn't acknowledge you? He had to concentrate with all his might just to stay upright while riding such a ridiculous setup. That plus is neck was all cramped up from being held firmly by his shoulders.

Hi KJ, My mom is visiting about 50 or 60 miles from you. They are back a mile off the main road. I guess she cant just go for walks because of wildlife. At least not without a gun.
