Didnt even know about VMOA til just now. Checked out the site and have to say this forum is set up much better. Throwing all tech subjects into one forum is nuts. No club Director in my area. So at the moment the only benny I see is the 10% discount Sean gives for some of his services. Not trying to start anything. Just my 2 cents.

Looks like an opportunity to represent the VMax community in your area.

I think that it is only $30 for a membership. My opinion is anything that is related to, and supports a Vmax is worth contributing to. I have meet some good people through the VMOA and had some nice rides together. They don't have any events close to me. I usually have to ride 75 miles to get to a event. But that is why I bought a bike, to ride!!

My buddy Nathan used to be the director for IA but he moved to TN.

I'm not a clubby guy so I don't want to take on the responsibility either. Plus IA members seem to be against doing anything. I sent emails to everyone from DesMoines east to the QC about the IL meet in Peoria and NO ONE responded... WTF?

I know a few members here but most are busy with life now. I've got a kid on the way so my riding time will be limited.

I've always been a hobby rider anyways. My bikes have NEVER been to work.

I just got back from a weekend work-shop with some VMOA guys.

A lot of knowledge. Also - great people!

Worth every cent.

I belong to the Canadian Motorcycle Association which costs $30/yr and knocks 5% off my motorcycle insurance premiums (which can be quite a savings here in Ontario). The CMA also gives me a list of preferred vendors for discounts but most venders I deal give 10% off for cash deals anyhow so I rarely need to show my membership card for savings.

It is fortunate that Buster has provided this forum b/c it has the best of both worlds: VMOA members/non-members alike. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a forum with better folks, information, or ease of use as this one. If you have an extra $30 you want to be a club member, give it to Buster and join the forum supporter lounge!!!

Cheers!

Blaine
