Next up (in chronological order) on my mod list is:

1. new front tire
2. new throttle cables
2. Morley Muscle Seat
3. replacing the stator, middle gear, clutch, and water pump covers with chromed versions
4. 5" monster tach

Here's what it looked like A) the day I bought it and B) when I first changed the exhaust. Just for comparison.

Looks good but yeah... That seat HAS to go. #1 it's shiny and #2 it's ugly... lol

Good job!
Chris

Chris

Thanks!
But don't you mean
#1 it's uncomfortable as all hell
#2 it's shiny
#3 it's ugly

The comfort is my biggest issue. My ass gets sore all the tiem. Plus it's multi-colored......that's gay.

Nice picts'! Thanks for sharing!

Are they 11.5" shocks in the back? How much was it dropped & how does it ride now? Was there a noticable clearance difference? Why is the sky blue? Why do I ask so many questions?

Are they 11.5" shocks in the back?
Yes

How much was it dropped & how does it ride now?
About 1.5" and it rides just the same as it did before as far as i can tell

Was there a noticable clearance difference?
Yes.....definitely.

Why is the sky blue?
molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun more than they
scatter red light

Why do I ask so many questions?
I don't have a damn clue....maybe you are Curious George in disguise?

Looks Great! Any thought on your part to do away with the chrome on the side cover? a black finish to match the bike with the same orange color for the VMAX logo would be hot! That's just my oppinion though :worthy:

Front fender and radiator covers are both MEK. Got them from Joe down at Boxenstopp. The bellypan is a FatMax. And I learned the hard way....if you get a bellypan and have it painted, find some kind of clear sticky cover to put over it (KJ wisened me up to that one, still haven't done it yet though) because rocks tends to chip the **** out of it!

ooooh that could be slowing you down a bit bud, you might want to try some hugger orange instead :punk:

huh?

Looks sweet :punk: What front fender is that again?

MEK.....and it you look at the front view carefully, that damn fender is off-center with the tire. Damn fiberglass. It bothers me every time I look at it.

I had thought about doing that when I repainted everything. But I figured I would keep that bit of chrome because there are going to be other small chrome parts so it will be right at home. But the thought about having the Vmax logo in another color is a good one....I might do that!

I may as well throw mine on too. It might look good next to some of these crazy mad bikes.:punk:
Public Service Announcement : I don't want to be blamed for inspiring the mod monkey!
No emails and or phone calls from angry wives or girlfriends whining about bills because you had to get your scoops chromed. I'm in mod hell now, I'm lucky I'm not exiled to the dog house my damn self and I refuse to take others down with me. I will however offer my opinion on things Ive done if asked, both good and bad with the exception of that one time 'in Tijuana' Ive been sworn to keep to myself. Enjoy.:eek:h yeah:
