Need help....... What did I just buy on ebay? This was listed as off a 98 vmax. listed as 15x3.5. Well its not. The photo before I bought it had a 190/50r17 tire on it so I said **** that looks interesting. Well it showed up yesterday. I'm impressed. Obviously it needs to be refinished but dam. what a find.. Its 17x6. Oddly it appears to be cast as one piece. No welds found. It is thick as hell. It is stamped on the rim. Can anyone out there tell me what I bought. Will this wheel fit on my stock 95. I was unable to find anything like it on the internet. Oddly it still has the 15x3.50 stamping on the hub center. Please let me know what the hell I bought? Thanks all20241005_080113.jpg20241005_080156.jpg20241005_080209.jpg20241005_080246.jpg20241005_080330.jpg

After welding, the wheel was machined. That's why it appears to be not welded.

Get your swingarm notched, because a 6" wide rim isn't going to have enough clearance with something like a 190 tire mounted. A 5-1/2" wheel will barely fit on a stock swingarm with a 180 tire.

Here's a pic of a 5-1/2" X 18" wheel my machinist made. A stock swingarm barely allows a 180 tire with it. A 170 is no problem. This is made from a solid billet machined to fit a stock VMax hub.

This should be a weekly theme to go along with "what did you do to your Vmax today"

"What did you buy for your Vmax today"! Just a thought.

finally found out who made it.......Georg Deget. Its a company from Germany that is still in business today. https://www.deget.de/
Still unsure if it will fit as its 6" wide. I know it will not fit a 190 tire with the stock swingarm but I'm hoping Mabey I can put a 180 on it. Looks like they do quality work.

He does some nice work you will probably be fine with a 180 although may have to let the air out to install it.

I paid $62 free shipping for the rim.....figured it was worth a shot...They also have a rear brake anchor bar embossed with there name. offset for a 190 tire. might have to pick that up to.
