No KJ face plate never showed up, must have gotting lost in the mail.

I love your avatar, awesome

Thanks KJ for your photo shop pic of this mod.

Three things I sent off didn't make it to their destination. two neighbors had similar things happen. We are thinking kids are raiding mailboxes. Taking the boxes and leaving the envelopes.

Replaced the scratched windows in 2 of my OTEC clear cover pieces. Had to machine a tool for removal and the windows themselves...not cheap. Disappointed with OTEC customer service (not the distributor). Took forever for a response so finally decided to do it myself.

Nice install man.....
What did you paint the face plate blk with.....rustolum,krylon??? ,looks great

Pulled motor Thursday night. Drove to Kansas Friday night. Took up Sean's entire Saturday. Drove back to Fort Worth Saturday night. Re-installed motor today. Still have to put on the swingarm, v-boost, carbs, hoses and what not. The good thing is. I know everything in my motor has been done right! Previous owner apparently pulled the motor at some point and the work was not done correctly. Nothing catastrophic, just sloppy. I'll be on the road in a couple days with my new overdrive transmission. I'll post up a report.

That's the way to push a project Dave! I'm sure you'll be very happy with the OD and Sean's work, lucky you to get a first hand lesson on doing it right!:punk:

That's some disturbing news for those who have invested time & $ into their products.

replaced my new clutch slave and installed a braided line bleed the system had a great handle nd pressure took it out for a long ride today started losing pressure and dripping from the bottom got home to look at it and had a puddle in no time, WTF, here we go again

While putting the finishing touches on my garage, I backed her out into the sunshine. Had to take a picture. When I finish with the garage, it's going to be fluid changing time and then a nice peaceful, done with the semester ride :)

I thought about this a bit & here is what I decided. The clutch is a closed system, right? So, remove the slave. Either cut a piece of 2X4 & throw a couple of drywall screws or lag bolts or whatever into the mounting holes to hold the slave in a slot bigger than the thickness of the slave cyl itself, plus the space needed for a small, stiff spring like a valve spring.

Space it so the spring has a bit of preload. What you are going to be doing is simulating the resistance of the diaphragm spring in the clutch pack or whatever pressure plate spring setup you have.

You can leave the master cyl on the handlebar, but maybe remove the SS line so you can see it along its length. Place the 2X4" block w/the slave cyl on a Workmate, or support it however you want. Now, pump-away to your heart's content, and see what happens. With the entire length of the closed system exposed, it should be an easy task to see where leakage occurs. You could even wrap the line w/toilet paper which would immediately make it very obvious where any leakage is occurring, and you have plenty of t.p., in-case you started to weep w/frustration...

In-short, this would allow you to see where that leak's origin is. Just a suggestion.

I was thinking you could use a c-clamp & a short spring at first, but I like the idea of the 2X4" more, as you can fasten the master cyl in-place, and have a broad 1-5/8" space for the spring to bear. You could even use a hole drill to bore a shallow hole to locate the distal-end (far-end) of the spring in the wood block to keep things together.

So, what have you got to lose? It would cost probably nothing but time. Everything else you should be able to scrounge around the shop, or from a auto repair shop (the valve spring).

Also, did you use fresh copper washers on the system when you re-assembled the system? I assume the SS line came w/fresh ones.

Bike looks wicked KJ!

Thank you bro!

Thank you again for the deal:punk: I'm about done with the body. The next on my list is to take the spare swingarm and give is a stretch and have Kosman play with my rear wheel so I can put a 200 out back. After that, the monkey will be off my back for a while. :)
