2 weeks ago installed sport bike handlebars I bought from Sean, along with D-3 clear and black grips, plus Vibernator end pieces. Didn't have the best luck putting it back together. Ended up cutting/ ripping a grip, cracked the top clamp on handlebar mount. Last night I cut it so just the outer clamp was connected. Worked pretty good, and it doesn't look too bad. I also installed a LED brake/ turn signal I bought from Sean. Just had to cut off old bracket for license plate off under fender, I left small side signals on also. The better someone can see what I am planning on doing the better. Ready for Quaker Steak Bike night here in Richmond.... Good weather hoping to see 800-1000 bikes like the first time I went.

Why does that rear tire look severely distorted?

I would say, "parallax error." Or, rather, "lack of parallax." If you only have one lens of the camera focusing on the object, parts of the object which are different distances from the lens will appear to "warp." No, it's not the warpage of the time-space continuum, or some other Star Trek-like concept, it's simply that the camera doesn't have stereoscopic vision like you have, assuming you have two peepers, capable of focusing on an object. Your stereoscopic vision eliminates the warpage. The camera doesn't.

I also put on a new Shinko on the rear. Got my new luggage rack from fondy installed, and put on a temporary bag till I can find something that will fit better. Also installed my new engine guards from gamorg02 (after a little steel wool, and some new paint). Put on some highway pegs from a VTX 1800 that I had laying around. That was all today, did get the passenger backrest installed on monday that I got from ebay on monday. Even had time for 3 short rides before the rain moved in this evening.

Today was productive. Woke up around noon, and after coffee, I rode down to get my PIAA brackets. When I got home, I relocated the turn signals, then mounted my new windshield.

Afterwards, I had a 9-Ball match to play... I won. Was a damn close match, and a DAMN fun game tonight.

All in all, an EXCELLENT day!

Did a 150+ mile ride yesterday bringing a friend down to Norway to see another friend. Today, I shall be bringing another friend to go see his daughter, who just had a baby yesterday. That will be a 265+ mile ride.

Brought the bike up to South Carolina on Wednesday and current grabbing a bite before riding around my new town a bit more to get the lay of the land.

Looks like I have been slacking on my seafoam usage, getting a stutter when I gun it in first everyone now and then. I'll grab some after lunch to hopefully get it cleaned out otherwise I'll clean the fuel filter out thoroughly when I do the oil change in about 300 miles.

Did the ride today. VERY gusty winds, but nothing too bad. I did come to the conclusion that I am not a fan of passengers. Just because I do not like how it changes the balance of the bike.

I also decided that I love the Vista Cruise throttle lock. Works wonders for allowing me to rest my right hand when traffic conditions allow me to engage it for a minute or so.

THE BEAST STARTED!!!!! I decided that even if I didn't have my throttle cables hooked up, I'd try to start the bike today. I put my Muscle Airbox on my Dannymax rebuilt-Muscle-Jetted carbs, pulled the choke, hit the starter, and 5 seconds later......RUMBLE!!!!! The Hindle 4-1 I have sounds great! Not too loud at idle, with a nice angry sound when I pushed on the throttle linkage (no cables, remember?).

Now I can start actually putting things back together. I'm sure my jetting will need some tweaking. I think it's a bit rich at 152.5 mains with stage 7 needles, but at this point, that's such an easy thing to fix, I could actually get it done in one session. Now I can get to work making the project bike run so I can sell it.

Thanks to everyone here for all their help all the time. Espcially - in no particular order- Danny, Sean, Wayne, Steve, Eric, Kyle, John, and everyone else who's replied to my threads over the last two years.

I'm getting ready for thunder so Tom the beekeeper helped me sync my carbs and I left my tank bag open and lost one of my favorite gloves so ordered and they showed up today http://shop.olympiagloves.com/colle...es/products/olympia-402-perforated-gel-gloves I also ordered a sissy bar bag for clothes and such, hope it's big enough, they promised it would be here Tuesday. http://www.saddlemen.com/ftb1500-sport-sissy-bar-bag-universal
Any issues Lee, take your extra stuff over to Tom's and we'll haul it for ya, if you don't mind. But you'll have to have it there tomorrow as we leave late Sunday/ early Monday.

Well crap, shirts shipped but won't make it there likely before you leave (unless you can run to the post office and get them while they are sorting in the morning).
