Learned a valuable lesson. Don't try to separate the slides to replace the diaphragm. The whole bottom breaks off when you do. Thanks youtube.
just buy JBM Industries (BS34) diaphragms and forget horsing around with taking slides apart or messing with wd40 to sneak diaphragms in without disassembly
. Check them out. They are of a different design that eliminates the two plastic washers completely. I can testify that these work well and are sure a snap to install. Also usually less expensive than anything else.
