After a spell of crappy weather and a frost warning, I put Godzilla into hibernation yesterday. I will keep the Roadstar out for fall/winter riding.
Are you going to pinstripe the edges?Laid the stripes down on the blue today
No was not planning toAre you going to pinstripe the edges?
I used a bread cutting knife, worked ok, didn't have to remove much. I've also seen people use files / rasps as well..I used angle grinder with flap disc and finger belt sander to shape my seat. They cut and shape foam very easy and fast.
I was recovering my truck's seat and got an idea that made cutting that foam too easy.Did some finetuning on my Sportmax seat (was uncomfortable at my tailbone) should be good now View attachment 86118

Great thinking!I was recovering my truck's seat and got an idea that made cutting that foam too easy.
Got super lucky at the Goodwill store with this double reciprocating blade meat carving knife. It went through that closed cell foam like butta!

Nice work!Finished painting an engine today for a customer now to get it back in the bike.
Thanks ! The Ppg is an epoxy sealerKyle, you've probably mentioned it in the past, what do you use? PPG? I assume the grey is primer? The engine came out great.
Thanks!Nice work!
Wow, that is good lookin…I have 20 miles on my "86 after a complete 1.5 yearlong tear down (refurbish for you dictionary fans). Still have some sorting to do but over all very satisfied. Planning on a trip up pikes peak with a best friend next summer. Happy trails to all. Also I have mufflers, like new, take offs from an "07 ,$250, as of now I cannot ship, problems with our local ups. If I am able to ship latter the cost will be added . I live in Alamosa Co 81101 .

YezKyle, the white pole on the left-rear of the trailer, is that there so you see the trailer is still-there, looking in the rear-view mirror?
The bike looks like an '86?
