Yesterday: Finished taking valve clearance measurements and checking current shim sizes.
Hey I also ride an '86.
Out of interest, what your mileage, and how out of whack were your valves?
A little or a lot? Too tight or too loose? Any pattern? :ummm:

Installed the oil pressure gauge I got from COO. Nice unit, glycerin filled, very easy install! Of course I started it, needle shot right up to 65 psi. Pretty useless info tho, bike was at 55 deg. F and I shut it right off cause of being in an enclosed garage. Well, not totally worthless--I know the gauge works! :biglaugh:
Also greased up the pivot points and torqued the 412 Progressive's I got from Brother Fargo. Thanks again Bro. unk:
rear wheel install was a PITA. I think I have a method now. First step....DEFLATE.
