Ton of things I "want" to do to my Max today, but lately I haven't had time to do anything but ride it. Seems like I am out on the road pretty much daily with the new M.C.. Going on another long run today, up over angeles crest IIRC.

I really, really, really need to decide on and order a seat for long days. 200+ miles on the stocker is killing me.

Get Seans seat. Plus it helps with the lowered look you want. I dont remember if you liked mine when we traded up for a bit???

I put my headlight relay kit in today and the new Silverstar Ultra bulb.
The frigin thing is too bright to look right into from the front during the day, Hate to see it at night. LOL!
Got it all back together and then the right directional wasn't working. Had to take it all apart again and plug the lead back in.
Everything fit and worked pretty good after I cut the mounting tabs for the relays off the top of them.
The relays were a lot bigger than what they looked like in the pictures, but everything fit and adjusted out really well.
Also did some re-arranging of some wires and cleaned up under the seat and body panels while I had her all apart.
Plus I put in the red bulbs for the gauges, the gel caps I had in previously were all faded white.
Now I'm just waiting for my Racetec emulators and fork springs to get here.

I put on my new Sean's seat and I'm not sure at all...it is MUCH more comfy and the "bubble-crotch" feel is gone. And, it is high-quality work. If you want to sit lower on the bike, this is definately the way to go! But I have long legs and now my knees are at this rather extreme angle in front of me. Never fear, though, I think a set of rearset pegs will fix it!

I imagine this is not an issue for the guys, but more of a woman's height is made of legs so I feel kinda funny sitting it like this....like my knees are up by my elbows...but it's still worth it to get the volley ball stock seat out from under my butt.

installed chrome front brake and clutch res last night with the help of the vmaxrider, they were a BITCH to bleed, clutch was the worst by far.Looks good worth the effort.:punk:

I've got the opposite problem, 6'2" with a 30" inseam. I'm all torso LOL. even so the stock pegs are uncomfortably close. I went the other way and put forward controls on, which allows almost enough leg room, but puts my weight squarely on my butt. Add the stock seat to that posture and it's a couple nails shy of a torture rack.

Fargo I liked your seat but I only rode it for about two miles. ATM I am still up in the air between Seans and a custom one from Russel Cycle that looks super comfy, but costs a TON.

I'll probably order the front two pieces from Sean and not worry about it again until I replace the rear end as a unit. 12.5HD 440's are in order too if I'm gonna keep up with these long days.

I installed my Morley Muscle Seat a couple of weeks ago. Finally went for a ride today. Love the seat! Now i know what everybody was talking about.:eusa_dance:

finished painting all my headlight parts...

also took off the instrument panel to wire in my shfitlight...

put my not as bent gearshift lever back on... also lowered it a bit so its easier to upshift..

50 degrees in central ohio, did a couple of 100+mph blast up and down my road, using the t-boost with the v-boost on all the time, what a rush. dave

just went for the first long ride of the year, hard to decide where to set the t-boost, with it on all the time it's to much in town, set at 3k i forget about it and it scares the shit out me when in comes on, damn what a nice problem to have. dave

TECHNICALLY I did this yesterday....not today...but what the hell.

Removed my rear fender and switched out the brake light to the one from motorcyclemods.com and I really like it! Also swapped out my stock shocks for some Progressives 11.5's. Too bad the rear fender isn't there for me to appreciate the lowered-ness.
Now I'm just waiting on my other 2 body parts to come in from Boxenstopp so I can get the thing painted already!

Hey there, hope you don't mind me jumping in, but that's the exact one I purchased. Wasn't tough at all and I love it. Soldering the wires by myself was a little tricky but not too bad. The biggest issue was getting the wires all tucked back in there but even that wasn't that big of a deal.

Go for it Brother, I think you'll be glad you did.

Took the bike over to a buddy's house in preperation for the make-over. Nothing major, but since I have access to free powder coating, the wheels, faux scoops and rear grab-bar are getting done in (30) gloss black. After that, the plan is to go with something of a fire-engine red on the fenders and faux tank. Those parts I'll have to do myself but I don't see them being that big of a deal.

44Mag, I don't mind you jumping in at all! It just helps to show how easy it was the install! The hardest part of the whole thing was cutting a straight line with the Sawzall! I haven't put the fender back on the bike yet as I'm waiting for paint, so I'm curious to see if the provided wires will reach the original wires on the bike. Hopefully I don't have to extend them!
