Yesterday my C.O.P.`s arrived and I commenced to install them.
Iremoved the rear coils but in fear of screwing something up, I left the front coils in besides the mounting screws were stripped (some previous owner action here):hmmm: Anyway I noticed that the wires on the harness for the caps were a size or two smaller than the wires on the vmax (is that supposed to be like that??. the throttle response is noticeably better.
I also polished the scoops and painted the top and sides again and gave her a bath.:eusa_dance:

626---My coil harness wires are a touch smaller than the OEM bike wiring also....it doesn't appear to be affecting performance.

Today I got into the shed again and took the rear air shocks off my poor, poor Honda to see if they would fit the max which they did (yahoo) so I changed them out, put some air in them and took her for a ride.
I don`t think that I will ever go back to anything with a spring in it!!!!!
It`s like riding on a big puffy cloud:worthy: after doing my seat and air shocks the max is it for me. Tomorrow I`m going to lower the front end another 1/2 inch(It looks really mean) and now I can lower or raise the rear end how "I" want it, when I want it with just a little blast of air.
Oh how sweet it is to own a v-max.

Put in a new PC680 yesterday. Now, waiting for my Venture R/R.
Also went to Hulign's garage and helped another Max owner put a new slave cylinder and throttle cable on. It was a rough go for him to get to the garage. He had to stop often to bleed the clutch line.

I rode it to work last night!!!!!:eusa_dance:

I rode it home this morning!!!!!!

In the F!%$(^%#$ rain:damn angry:

Now it's going to snow for the next 2 days:bang head:

I installed the front pipes, foot rests, shifter arm & linkage, radiator and hoses and took 'Sallymax' for a blast up the road!! It was less than pleasant...what with no front fender, dirt road being all mud AND of course, rain, but even with all that it was obvious this is a very strong running and good handling bike.
I called Sally to let him hear it over the phone.

Sorry to hear man. Didn't you just buy it? Hope you come up with a way of keeping it

Yep.....
Transmission died in wife's car......contractor doing work on my house skipped out with my $$$$$ so my roof is not done yet:damn angry:

I hope I can keep it as well......but I don't buy lottery tickets so....:bang head:

Hate to hear this Kyle...hope there is some way it works out for you!!!
If you have any info. on this guy have him sought and arrested, sue him, take what HE has and sell it but, don`t sell the bike.
There are agency`s that go after those guys so, you should try to find this bastard before throwing in the towel or do what I would do replace the trans your self it`s alot of work but alot cheaper and you might find one in a self service junkyard. Just an Idea but it could save you a couple grand.

Good luck with whatever you have to do.

Took the vmax out on the freeway to really test the air shocks that I installed yesterday and it was like riding on a cloud the front is still a little bit stiff but the rear end is smooth as silk (my ass is a happy camper now:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana: lol) this has to be one of the best mods that I have done this winter.
the bike is ready for that long ride but, I`m still thinking of putting a thin slab of memory foam on the seat.
I think that would make it perfect.:punk:
Is it possible to love your vmax too much ?????:th_image003::party:

Finally got around and swapped out the stock clutch master for one of an FJR1300.

It is easier to pull the clutch, wish I had a little more handle though. clutch starts to engage pretty much as soon as I start to release it.

Another down side is now I need to put the stock mirror stems back on. With both the Break and Clutch masters changed out, the Venture/short stems don't give me a view directly behind me do to the slight change in position.

. . .now my massive shoulders are getting in the way:rofl_200:

Finally got it back together and on the road.

Changes include...

-Wheels, scoops, rear grab bar and rear foot peg brackets powder coated 30 gloss black.
-Radiator cover, faux scoop screens and rotors, wet painted high-temp satin black
-Swapped out rear reflector for black carbon fiber
-Bar-end mirrors
