If you're young, strong and brave, yes.

If you're getting old, brittle and worried about seeing the next decade out, not so much.

I've ridden a Gen 2. It is a nice bike and I think a lot more forgiving than a Gen 1, but facing reality they both have more than enough power to get you killed in an instant if you get the least bit careless.
