An A/F gauge measures Air/Fuel ratio in your exhaust. It tells you if you are running lean or rich and can be used along with an EGT (exhaust Gas Temp) to set up your bike or car for optimal performance. Of course the one thing you can't mount on your bike is the one tool you MUST have to make the EGT and to a lesser degree, the A/F readings relevant is a dyno.

I'm a big proponent of the school of thought that you can't really have too many gauges on an engine.

As for the RX2N speedometer/Tachometer, it a really neat little all in one dash for motorcycles. It is alittle on the new "Bling Bling" side; lots of lights and flash. Some people think it detracts from the classic style of the bike. Have to make up your own mind about that.

I don't know how to embed a video or I'd embed this one of the RX2N speedo for you.
here is the link to the speedo website.
An A/F gauge in action.
And finally a link to the website selling them.
Knock yourself out.:punk:

I think these look awesome but at the same time I also think they are a bit too "new" and flashy for a vmax. I think more along the lines of a classic muscle car gauges.

I was honestly looking at the monster gauges from cycleoneoff.com but really have no need for it considering my bike is pretty much all stock.

Sorry, back on topic now. :D

No worries, I picked those as the are pretty flashy. Personally I think some do the Maxes with the sports tails and belly pans wouldn't have any problem pulling off those gauges. Take a look at Inovate Gauges if you want the more traditional style.

Well, my friend, think the same thing,,,,,,,, even in french:rofl_200:

I need to remember to do that whenever I swing a leg ove:ummm:explain

Your signature says we should "Roarr your ride". That isn't technically correct English. Don't worry, I doubt any 'English Nazi' is going to jump out and brow beat you about it; after all you speak English better then I speak French! It does cause some confusion about just what you want us to do. If taken literally it suggests that we go stand over out motorcycle and yell loudly in a deep voice (Roar AT your ride). Or we should scream as we travel around (Roar DURING your ride). If I had to guess I would think what you meant was that we should fix up our bikes until they roar.

The beauty of English is that it is a living language and constantly changing so while an English Professor might frown at what you said there is this neat little thing called 'Poetic Licence' that allows you to say things on purpose in English in a not quite 'correct' way to get your audience to think about what you said from a different point of view. Basically, the act of puzzling out what you meant to say forces us to think about what you are saying in a new way.

All good in the hood.

Oh yeah. Don't get me wrong they look amazing.

Yeah I should have clarified, for what I am going for I don't think so but for the street look, absolutely.

Koso is very cool **** without a doubt! I agree though that it doesn't look like "classic muscle" styling so it only works on a "sported out" V-max. Another option is Speed Hut guages. Looks like nice stuff. I spoke with them on the phone the other day and they seem like nice people too. And their products are MADE IN USA!

I have a file for Koso gauges and at some point when I want to treat myself, I am going to do an upgrade. Problem is, there are other priorities ahead of it that need to be done first.

Criez pres'de votre moto is about as-close as my long-ago learned French will allow me to translate, there probably is a better expression, but as our European colleague observes, it means the same, regardless of the language.

I like that he is approaching a use of stock parts in a different fashion. I had considered cutting-off that same exhaust shield he has chosen to color, and to get it rechromed, and then to have my friend TIG it back-on for me. In the end, I just ground-off the worst of the failed chrome and will rough it up and paint it w/either some shade of black or aluminum. Right now it's getting a nice patina of mad-max oxidation on the heat shield while the rest of the exhaust finish (stock exhaust) is in OK shape.
