Gauge Cluster

Hi All,

Does anyone know if an '06 gauge cluster will plug right in to a '93 Max?

They did change somewhere along the line. I believe it was 90 though so you should be good. You can verify real easy. They old style had a black connector and a white connector. The new style has a white and a red connector.

90 was the change from Analog to Digital. You're fine with this application. If it were going on an 85-89, you'd have to swap the cabling but it would still function...:biglaugh:

The only other difference is the number font will be different. The late models(with the speedometer in 10's instead of 5's) had a more "modern" look instead of the very eighties look up until then. The face may be a different color also. Seem to remember Yamaha used 4 different clusters in the Vmax run.

But yeah, it'll work perfectly fine.
