Just turned 24, bought my Max last spring. Just wish I didn't have to park it for the winter. :(

52 here. Bought a brand new '85 Eliminator ZL900. My buddy went right out and bought an '85 Max. Boy did we have fun. I regretted selling that ZL9.

I always wanted a Vmax after that. Finally got my '94 early this year - I many others before and in between. Focused on Triumphs and Nortons in the 70's. My '73 Bonnie pictured. Had that one for 30 years.

But, last week, I finally found another ZL9 - and it's sitting beside my Vmax. Two kindred spirits of '80s muscle bike scene.

49years and feeling it....always a old school Suzuki guy, '79 GS1000 turbo, then a GS1100 turbo (straight line and no turning...sounds familiar)
After writing off the '79 and 2 CB750F's I quit ridding at 25years old glad to be in one piece.(riding/racing since I was 13)

Probably mid-life crises, almost 20 years later changed loyalty, got the Max 5 years ago and I ride it as much as I can making up time, have a '02 FZ1 when I head up to the Dragon, and a '83 XJ 550 with a sidecar when I take my 5 year old out.

Glad to see a lot of young guys ridding the Max.....they appreciate how a real bike should feel and handle :rofl_200:

I'm 49 bought the Vmax about 3 years ago always wanted one since I had my V65 magna and then I saw a Vmax and swore someday to buy one and totally customize it. so after my V65 and a few Harleys later I got an inheritance I spent the next 14 months personalizing it. But as soon as I think I'm finally done that damn Mod Monkey keeps rearing his frickin head. I'm hoping to finish my new ideas this winter. And so it go's and go's....

First Vmax (1995) in 1998 at age 54. Second Vmax (1997) in 2007 at age 63. Will be 67 in January. Got first bike (1948 Harley Hummer) in 1958 at age 14. Will be riding as long as I can....

47 here, always had sport bikes before. "All I can say is what the hell was I thinking?"
And by the way my three kids love the Max!

Seen a guy on the net who had a '09 from the Dallas area about a year ago who was 71. Guess he'd be a year older now if he's still kick'n.

41, just bought my '94 Max last month. Been riding street bikes since I was 15-1/2, off-road since I was 5 or 6. I have one 14 year old daughter and she loves riding with me. Started divorce proceedings in July after being married for 16 years and am still amazed at how much more money I have in the bank since we separated! LOL

Wow we are almost on the same page:clapping: I will be 67 in August, my first bike was a 1948 BSA and I started riding in 1958 also.
My 1999 Max is bike # 26. Sold a CBX and a Trident to buy it.

I'm 47 and still have the 1985 brochure that I had in 1985. Now I have the signed one from Jay Gleason in my office to look at everyday. Life is good.

I'm 43 here. Started in '98 with a 1995, sold it and got a 2001, sold it and now I have a 2005. Prior bikes were ZX1000 and V45 magna. Love the MAX!!!

30, owned my 07 max since may 09. bought with 1400 km drive the nuts off of it. I first had a 97 suz savage ls650 (single- eww). drove every where with that bike, then i got an opportunity to drive an 85 max a buddy had. as soon as i twisted the right hand, it was love. i hope to be riding when im older, but for now im going to enjoy the roads life puts down before me and ride every chance i get. my riding season is short, may to sept, maybe oct, but its an every day love affair. married, no kids, just a faithful dog and a wonderful bike, i mean wife... :icon_jook:

peace,
evan...

jester 42: You have 10 years on me. God, it would be nice if I have 10 more riding years. If I knew that for sure, I'd buy a Gen II in a heartbeat..... Ride on Brother.. and many happy rides to you....:biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh:

I stopped riding in the late 90s, after riding for 30 years.

Every Spring I'd start seeing bikes on the road & get the urge.
Kept telling myself, "you're too old". Others seem inclined to agree.

I was paddling whitewater in a solo canoe at that time, with no problems..............no big deal!
Started thinking, "why the hell not" bike again"?
Wasn't getting any younger; didn't want to have regrets that "I could have done it , but I didn't".

Was 66 when I bought my 05 VMax; 67 when I got my 07.
Am "endeavouring to perservere", and can hardly wait for Spring.
Dealing with the "mod monkey" while I wait for it.
