You should be able to drill the broken bolt from the backside. Then it will dull the bit when it hits the extractor. Use a punch to knock that back out and you'll have a nice hole after that. Should be able to use the newer style extractor after that.

i would but i don't have a drillpress and feel like it'd be easy to mess up. also once i tap the extractor out if i even could the threads are probably mangled up so i doubt the new extractor could get the bolt out, and even if it started the main hole is still off center of the bolt where it might grab the side again...

If you can get the broken extractor removed , as above, the rest of the broken bolt should not be a problem, even if it had been drilled off-centre to begin with. Begin by drilling out to the largest diameter possible, without hitting the flywheel threads. Then take a small round file, or a small diameter dremel bit, and remove the remaining bolt metal on the thinnest side, again trying not to hit the f.w. threads. Once you have the bolt split in two, use a centrepunch to collaspe the bolt material inward. Should turn or fall out from that point. Miles

i agree it should come right nwo but at this point i feel more comfortable bringing it to a pro, have a couple local machine shops looking at it.

If you cant get it done reasonable I am sure I could help you out. I have tons of tools & have access to a complete machine shop. I never take advantage of it but I would be willing to help you out.
