we loaded the dodge duelly up last year when i finished a buying trip in so. Cal and on the 24' trailer we had 34 bikes on the the toyota tundra 16' trailer we had 22 and i had another 12 on my 10' trailer and that was only the first trip we still had to go back for 35 more bikes. I am so glad those kind of trips are behind me. But in the dodge we got 17mpg on the way back with that load.

Yea, but load 10 or more HEAVY vmax's and not try and ding any of them in the trip! I did crap 6 junkers (much like your loads) in a 5x8 enclosed! Still had some room too lol. Either way that's a lot of bikes.

The trip we made to PA the dodge pulling my 28' enclosed got 14-15 mpg both ways!

So Kyle should soon be in-proximity to the Katy Freeway! I have stayed before in Houston and at Lake Conroe, and I liked it there, but was never there in the summer, always in the fall or winter. I did see it snow there one Christmas, it even accumulated on the ground.

I am glad to hear your trip is uneventful. Try not to buy any bikes there!

A113ycat's haul of bikes from CA is amazing-that's a lot of old iron! To paraphrase Mr. Toad from Wind in the Willows,
"there is nothing better than messing around with motorcycles!"

Those Dodges are like that....back in the day I had a 3/4 t '69 p/u with a 225 slant 6....one of the best motors ever made imo! The old truck got 15 per empty and loaded with a fresh cut pulp cord of hard maple and a pup trailer with another pulp cord....it still got 15! Downhill, uphill....didn't matter! :punk:

Used to drive my 8N Ford tractor up in the back, it wouldn't squat a full inch! One hell of a wood-hauler she was.

Yeah I get it...I would never pile up that many bike I wanted to keep that way. I assure you that these were all donor parts bikes. I am so glad to be away from that end of the business though WHAT A HEADACHE!!:bang head::bang head:

On my way first thing in the morning to meet CaptainKyle and get the bike! I have to admit I am a little excited.

I met Kyle this afternoon and everything went great! I unloaded the Max and ripped out of the drive way down a very quiet neighborhood street. The bike sounds good but really needs a tune up and a few things addressed but all in all great deal. I want everyone to know that this forum is bar none the best Im a member of, and I am a member of several.. I have never had so many do so much for someone that they just met online (well with the exception of the girls on POF but that's another story.) I handed the good Captain a large bottle of Krakken and loaded up. Hell my brother ended up buying that V-Star 650 bobber that was in his truck as well so we brought back half his load. It was all good. I would highly recommend this for anyone else out there wondering. If you need it ask you'd be surprised how it turns out.
