Talk to my friend today and i will have dimensions of busa pistons at evening.
Also he have stock busa rods and pistons in a good shape.
He's an Polish quater champion. His busa is a monster with 280 RWHP.
I supose that 280 horses are not something new in the world but
here where drag racing is not that common its something...

His using the best supercharger at the market: ROTREX.
You guys may be intrested and look at his site:

I am looking at them already actually and have wanted to do something like this for years. There is one on ebay right now that needs rebuilt but will wait for a better one to show up.

Sean

Rotrex C30-64 runs here for about 2500$ foor new :confused2:

I saw that one on ebay. Its looks like its have broken shaft LOL
Rotrex superchargers are almost indestructible on good hands.
Rotrex gives 10 years of guaratnee fo thier superchargers.
What that guy done with that? LOL

If someone wants to know some about rotrex:

Sean, you may want to look Vortech. Its not he same efficiency (98%) as Rtorex but no. 2 on my list. And half of Rotrex price.

I was looking at Procharger originally and the head quarters are only 3 hours away. They were going to consider making a kit with my help but ended up making a system for Harley since the market is so much larger. The Rotrex is a much smaller unit and easier to find a mounting area.

Sean

So the bore of busa piston is 81mm, total hight is 46mm and from the center of the whirstpin to the top - 25mm.

Need to do some math LOL

Rotrex is the best of evrything, but like i said costs some money.

You can buy one Eaton from ebay, i can get a good Eaton localy that is used in Mercedes Compresor series but...evrybody knows goood and bad things about that kind of chargers. Increses air temp o lot so almost evrytime intercooler is needed and more, tha charger takes a lot power from crank, about 30%.
Eaton claims that is about 15% LOL i wish!

Keep in mind the rods are 4.5mm shorter and if the piston deck height was the same you would actually want to add 4.5mm to one side of the crank thus increasing stroke by 9mm. Compression would be higher and CC's would be 1545cc's

You would still have to sleeve the block to make it happen but it would be a great combination. I don't know how well the top of the piston would fit into the vmax head profile. I am going to be picking up an 08 busa piston this weekend and send to Gary.

The piston is fried! His wet Nitrous system decided to try and run as a dry system and plasma cut the piston and upper block. Still be enough left for him to check out.

Sean

Ok now i see the point. So lets say that stroke now will be 74mm.
Thats gives exactly 1524cc and with CR about 13,25 so damm to high.
Thicker gasket wolud be needed.

I think that 12 is the limit. Dont wanna buy race fuel all the time lol

1,5 liter and 12 CR engine sounds marvelous.

I see no problem to rebore venture sleeves to 81mm. I know that v-max sleeve wall thicknes is 5mm.
Dunno how with venture but propably the same.
What do you think?

Keep in mid that 08 busa is little difrent then 07. Whirst pin for sure is smaler, what else? Dont know.

Wrist pin is only difference. Worst case we can convert over to E85 fuel which should handle the increased compression. I am not sure what the safest bore we can take the Venture sleeves out too?? What wall thickness do we need to keep to be safe?

Sean

Not sure about the 08-up Busa pistons, but the 99-07 Busa pistons have a small dish at the top. At one time i had the specs, but i can't find them anymore...

I like the Busa turbo pistons of course. We'll have to see how the valve pockets line up for the normally aspirated. After market pistons are cheaper than Vmax because of the demand and competition between vendors.

Hmm, Gary is the right person to ask.

Gary, what do you think?
If i remember corectly someone said that 1500cc v-max engine is a little hot couse the sleeve wall thicknes...:ummm:

They're much smaller and lightweighted than v-max, like the rods.

I have some v-max pistons on hand and they have 20mm whirtspin. You mentioned 19. Difrent pistons or i see things? :ummm:

I think ive post it here once but cant remember.
Well its somthing that should inspire evry v-max tuner.

Kainzinger V-max is 1680cc motor with 90mm bore Cosworth pistons, titanium rods made by Gerold Pankl, titanium valves, berilium valve seats, intake porting, combustion chamber changes, modified camshafts and lot of more.

Also complete rebuilded frame with elements mostly maded from titanium and carbon.

Its chain drive and gets over 200rwhp at 9000rpm.

Its not looks like v-max but i very like it :)

The gen2 is a 1670...200 @ the crank...90mm bore. I'd love to see what kind of massaging went on in this guys motor:stir pot:

Lets see 90mm bore X 74mm stroke @10.5- 1 CR = 1880cc... Yikes! I want one :biglaugh:

Boosted 1880 cc @9500RPM

@20PSI = 395 Hp - 218 Tq
@30PSI = 493 Hp - 272 Tq

:ummm: think I'd need a billet crank and better rods.

And new engine cases blllet from solid couse 30 psi of boost and hat displacemnt will blow up v-max engine into pieces and you will see cyl head flynig into the sky LOL :rofl_200:

Serioulsy, its most crazy idea but i whish to do it also and have a dream to see how its running :)
