Uhhh, I would have thought there would be more than one set of consecutively numbered bikes so far (153-154). I tried to contact the three or four 85s for sale Craigslist to see what there last four digits but noone contacted me. Maybe they think I am running some kind of scam.

Well I hate to say it, but we still dont have any consecutively numbered bikes yet. We have a typo in my listing. Im #1454, not 0154.

For some reason I would have guessed all the earliest bikes would be in California or on the west coast assuming container ships from Japan unload there and get bikes to the dealers there first. I'll try to contact Jay Gleason to see what number his is unless Guru Tim would do it. I don't know Jay like you do Tim but we live in the same town.

I had a little over 98,000 on my 99 when I sold it & they were hard miles. At least 400 passes down the drag strip & never rode easy the motor was never opened & ran great when I sold it. 90,000 of the miles were mine. I should have kept it just to see how much farther it would have went with my abuse.

The Corbin seat on my '85 is looking kinda ratty now. It's 20 years old.
But it looks great compared to the butt that's been sitting on it the last 20 years.... (unless you are talking about the rear seat. My wife sits there, and both the seat and her butt look just fine!)
