I have a Morley Muscle jet kit in my bike. I have read many posts on some people drill the slides and other dont. Currently, mine are not drilled. What is the advantage or disadvantage to drilling?
Some say that the throttle response is quicker with them drilled. I don't like them drilled. If you ever want to go back to a stock set up, it's a lot of work to JB Weld and re drill to the stock size... I don't feel you lose that much by not drilling.
So if the throttle response is to be better when the slides are drilled, will that help eliminate the "flutter" of the slide I see when I look into the top of carbs when slowly increasing RPM's?
I have his kit, stage 7 springs and the slides are stock. It's hard to undo the drilling so I left them alone. Mine's a street bike, so what's the diff? lol
