Who is where up there?

I can't look at frappr (put your self on the map) on our server at work...

I'm looking at mapquest and it looks like.

Cleveland
Pittsburgh
Akron
Columbus
Toledo
Indianapolis

Are "close"

I'm thinking about flying up just to watch

Any of these could be done for about $300 round trip....

Wouldn't mind if someone could pick me up on the way there are maybe I could fly out to where you live and just ride/drive there and back with you.

I'm not a moocher.

Any takers?

P.S.

Contrary to polular belief I don't fart THAT much and when I do I roll the window down or go outside first:biglaugh:

Rusty

Rusty,You would want to fly into Cleveland.35 miles from the track.

I was planning on renting a car which I only need for one day. Looked like it was about $15 with unlimited mileage. it shows I am supposed to be there around 5-6pm sat. I will know more in a day or two when I officially book the flight.

Sean

OK, I just checked.

It's 1395 miles:surprise:
Hmmm not that bad for me: Total Estimated Distance: 549.98 miles. Sounds like a long weekend trip, leave work early on Friday and take Monday off. Nice fun filled weekend with a lot of riding and meeting of good people! I think I might and I believe I will!

I talked to my Wife on the phone today (she's in Calif. on business) and brought it up with her, mentioned flying out just to watch and hang out with you guys:cheers:

She was all for it but said I would be dumb not to drive up there, bring my bike and run it with the rest of you.......

Show'em what a Texas boy can do:rocket bike:

I'd be gone for a week instead of three days, and what the hell, I've never seen any thing North East of Missouri.....

I'm planning on doing it I think, hell, I have 5 weeks Vacation, so why not??????:punk:

One question Though.........

Do you think maybe my wife is having an affair???????:confused2:

And if she's being this nice about it should I care??????

Rusty

#1 Cool!

#2 Bring her *** with!

#3 if you want to stop off here and drive over you are more than welcome to. I have an extra room (albeit cluttered and needing cleaned):whistlin: You are more than welcome to use it. It has some really pretty cowboy wall paper and the cutest little Crayola ceiling fan. lol

Anyway... :icon_rolleyes: I think Hubeerjw and I are going to either ride together or at least drive out at the same time.:thumbs up:

Hope you can make it!

Chris

If she lets you have your fun... Let her have fun too...lol

Just kidding on that...speaking as a man twice divorced... a keylogger can be a very good friend!!

Anyway if you are coming thru Nebraska give me a heads up. I have already taken the time off work just not sure if I will have funds to travel. COME ON VISA...haha

Frank

Dang, that's a long haul for just a few passes at the track. You could almost stop by and grab my bike on the way - lol.

Hell, if you've got a truck big enough you could swap your bike out of your trailer into mine then stop and get everyone on the way. They would probably even kick in some gas money if you'd let them hitch a ride.

You can get 9 bikes in my trailer.

Sean Morley

I'm still working on the details, But from doing a mapquest it looks like I'll be passing through Louisianna, Arkansas, Tennesee, Kentucky then Ohio.

My truck is a '02 3/4ton 2500HD Crew Cab Chevy with a 6.0 gas motor.

Get's about 12.5 on the highway.

Doing some rough math driving is about twice the cost of flying from what I can tell.

But having my bike there would be worth it to me...

Does anyone know how big a turnout the Motorheads event that's running at the track that day is expecting?

Rusty

You'd add 350 or so miles to drive this way and then to nebraska to get frank (and maybe others).
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/housto...Cuyahoga+County/m::2:::0::/io:1:::::f:EN:m:/e

Your chassis would hold the trailer fine and probably enough power but it's going to be working it. You won't get that much mileage pulling it. It's a 26' enclosed bumper pull.

At least you can get a few in the cab since it is a 4 door. If you split the costs that makes it work out a bit better.

I don't have a problem loaning the trailer out to haul a few bikes there. I could take the bike I originally wanted to take plus the 1500 I am hoping to have finished up by then.

That would still leave plenty of room for other bikes.

With 9 bikes in the trailer and 1 in the bed of the truck (99 dodge ram 3500 4x4 dually with cummins) plus all the gear the trailer and truck weighed in at just under 20,000 lbs. We got 12mpg like that but the diesel really helped.

Either way, it's available if you and the others want to work something out.

If the map looks right, you would stop at my place and swap your bike out to my trailer, head up to Nebraska and pick up Frank (maybe Mark) and his buddies, then you could head out and stop and pick up Jeff H. and his friends then finish the trip.

If you can fit 6 you'd have a good spread of costs. Not only that but it would be a hell of a road trip!

Sean

Oh, I almost forgot. I do know a texas boy that had a bad *** turbo bike. He ran 9.30's with a 1260 engine. He is probably about done with his 1570 engine now so it should really haul butt. Get him on board and bring some real firepower.

Sean

If anyone wants to come to Iowa that would be fine... I'll be putting $$ in for gas no matter who drives. If I had another decent bike, I could bring it as well, but I don't think anyone wants to ride my little HD 350SS..... I've been told I look like a monkey humping a football when I am riding it.

This is going to be a real stupid question. But where is place located at? state? town? location? Ive read all the threads and didn't see it mentioned anywhere
Thanks
