Needle ****??

Reminds me of what's called a stitch ****....:eusa_dance:

Ever watch the needle on a sewing machine?

It completely withdraws and enters a new hole on each stroke......:surprise:

I'll leave the rest to your imagination:biglaugh:

Holy **** what a long thread... but what the hell, if Buster goes I should be able to hook up with him for the big event. I've never seen the bike drags - seeing a Max would be extra cool as well as meet'n all you big bad ass dudes. Buster, if ya read this let me know if your going for sure and the dates. I got lots af holidays but I need to book it at work before 2 other guys do. I'll do a test prerun across border. Just to make sure they don't hold me up. Because I'm not Canadian.

Soon as it's in stone, PM me with the details.
Should be a good time..:icon_jook::pullhair:

Rob,

I think a bunch of us from Ontario are getting together to ride down together..... if this thing happens. I am going to be talking to Buster at the bike show and will go from there.

I wouldn't bet on this "Drag Day" ever going down. From what I have read on the "other" forum, Cornell has not rented the track. If the track is not renter for "exclusive" use, you will just be one of many making passes that day. Just a regular test and tune day. One big waste of time.

Has anyone in the area, called and checked on the track rental? No big suprise, It's still not showing up on the website.

Nah, just another one of Jon's lies. Check this post from yahoo groups. Pretty funny ****.

So, heard you were thinking of backing out of jon's challenge.

Scared?

Long story short, you got challenged to a grudge race because you have a big
mouth. It's capable of all kinds of slander. The response was a callout to you
to see if you're the real deal.

Now i heard you backed out.

WTF!

Be there, i have a thousand dollar bet that says cornell kicks your ass on a
stock motor v-max. Heads up four tenths pro tree. Stock internal motors,
prepped however you like. You just can't run anything UFO on your bike. That
was the original deal right?

Get off you ********* and show up. A grand should pay for your gas if you
win, and i'm gonna make some money watching you try. BTW, what you did by
backing out, that's called punking out sean. You hear, PUNKING OUT. That means
you with your 50 year old bald head, well you're a punk.

Later,
Rich

What a load of ****. :rofl_200: I noticed that It's still listed as motorhead, Gamblers race and a t&t.

This reminds me of " I dar ya to cross this line".. then when Sean does its " ok ok I dar ya to cross THIS line"
Then once again the bluff gets called, and it turns in to a Kadaffi-ish "ok ok ok, this is my last line... I dar ya to cross it."

Oh well. maybe all the people that were registering gave the man cold feet. LOL need to know in order to buy food for everyone my ass. I'm sure they have a consession stand and ppl that show up wouldn't mind ponying up $6 for a hot dog and a coke. Especially when you have an entrance fee of $15.

Hell I'll buy my own grub to have a day of racing for $15.

I tried but I couldn't resist replying to that knob. Here is what I posted:

Re: Morely..............Meow?

At the risk of incuring the wrath of Tyler......

I am going to respectfully ask you to pull your head out of your
fourth point of contact with this planet. I was planning on
attending too, until I saw that Jon was attempting to shoehorn us in
with a test and tune day. Oh yeah I want to travel a hundreds of
miles to get what one or two runs in????? I for one wouldn't blame
Sean a bit for not going. He has around 1ooo miles each way to
travel? Would you be willing to travel that far for a couple of
passes down the strip??? Maybe Jon should have done what he said he
was going to do and actually rent the track for the day. Oh wait,
that would be too tough to back out of at the last minute as they
would want $$$ up front. Go back to your little hidey hole and
please for the love of pete stop cluttering up this list with this
tripe.

Now Tyler can chew my ass out Friday when I see him )

Cheers,

Will have to see what kind of arse chewing Tyler gives me LOL.

I just posted my reply.

OK, I don't need to get everyone stirred up but since many wanted to
see this go down I feel it necessary to respond. I will try to keep
this "hate" free. Here's some of the reasons I feel like not wasting
my time with Jon (again this is not hating or bashing him just
expressing my opinion).

First,

Jon has in no way honored his original challenge. In his original
reply that was sent on Dec 3rd he challenged me to a drag race. Of
course the original challenge said we were going to be racing at
Norwalk Raceway and the race was going to be free.

Of course that has since changed and instead of having a world class
track and facility to race at, we would be using a local track with
questionable reputation (I am only going on what I have read and heard
but in no way can prove it is a good or bad track).

Then instead of being free it is going to cost us $15 to race.
Supposedly this is to cover food and drink but in his first emails
this was also supposed to be covered (from what i recall).

Second,

Jon said in other posts AND it is still on his website, that he was
renting the track for this event. His emails and website lead any
reader to believe that this was going to be a private day at the track
with just Vmax owners and their friends attending.

Of course - the tracks website shows this is just another test and
tune day and will have who knows how many local yocals with cars and
who knows what else. This greatly cuts into the time we could have to
help others learn to race and even cuts into how many passes can be
made. I'm sure the $15 charge Jon may have been referring to is
probably what they charge at the gate.

I have yet to hear back from the track if what I believe is true but I
suspect it is so. Just another sign of the tracks questionable
reputation (they either don't care or are inept and can't return calls).

Third,

Empty challenges are just that. Made by someone that is upset or mad
about something. Why not have Jon simply load himself up and bring it
down here. It's no secret that I race regularly and even sponsor a
drag race day each year. This is the first year that Jon is offering
to do so (that I am aware of that is more then a potential offer so
far). Big deal - I've been doing it for 10+ years!

I've never seen a single post about what he has done at the track on a
vmax or any vidoes of such. I have posted results numerous times and
there are a few videos showing me racing on Vmax'es and other bikes.

Lastly,

I offered to try and help arrange others to come that would be a great
service to the vmax community. I offered to bring a dyno so that we
can all compare our products back to back on the same day. There is no
way you will get a better opportunity to compare products like this. I
offered to bring a stock bike to use as a dyno mule.

I mean common, here is his opportunity to shine! I know that bill's
injection would probably beat me hands down. I am pretty confident
that my kit would beat Jon's or even PCW's flatslides for overall
power (not including fuel economy). Heck, why not give PCW a call and
ask them about my kit. I think you will be surprised at what they tell
you.

Keep in mind I have had all three (not injection) of the systems
available to me for tuning. I would bet Jon has not even seen one of
my kits in person.

anyway, it sounds like I am trying to bash Jon so I better get back to
the basics here.

I desperately wanted to race Jon and provide a lot of good times and
fun for the vmax community but not on a simple test and tune day. If
you want to call it Punking out so be it. I can live with myself. Why
not have you and Jon (and roger) load up your bikes and come down here.

I tell you what,

If anyone wants to pay my airfare there and back, pick me up (and drop
off) at the airport, and loan me their bike that fits Jon's
requirements. I will install my jet kit for free (parts and labor).

That means I will be riding/racing a complete strangers bike that I
would have just installed my kit on. Depending on what they have for
tires I may bring one of my own to install for the weekend (after all
Jon has said he is going to use his slick which is fine with me). You
know what, as long as the tire has good tread (at least half) I will
even leave that alone.

So,

there it is. Do with it what you want. Again, not wanting to inflame a
situation but bring reality and fun to an event that many have craved for.

I agree 100% So here is my question.....

Should we try to have an actual VMax Drag Day where we reserve a track and just have a fun weekend. Maybe have a small poker run one day and a track day the next. I'm willing to do a lot of the leg work and try to get this organized if we have enough interest.

I really want to make sure the track has not been reserved by Jon first. I called the track and got the voice mail... I also called Jon's business and got the same thing.

And maybe if we don't get a better confirmation, we just do our own thing on July 20th, and if Jon wants to come, he is more than welcome. I was also thinking if we do have the whole track rented, why not open it up to our friends.... cars, bikes, sleds... maybe we limit it to 3 racing guests or something like that, just to make sure everyone gets plenty of passes in.

Let's start talking about where the most centralized location would be to have this or where people would be coming from.

I was about to suggest the same thing,... organize our own Race Day. I'm not sure about opening it up to others, as that is what is happening at the track Jon "booked".

Maybe do something in southern Michigan or northwest Ohio???? I would be more than interested in coming down as are a bunch of the other chapter members and friends here.

What's NEW? You WON'T get a hold of him.

I agree....
I only thought about opening it up to a LIMITED number of others as it is always fun to see something different.

I am DOWN :thumbs up: with this depending on the date... I know I plan on going to Topeka near the end of June and July 4th is out... If my back is healed I am all for this! I wonder if the Cleveland area would work???

Chris

Good for you Sean. I think what you wrote was to the point and you didn't bring yourself down to their level of talking trash!

I will setup a gmail account if ya'll want to email Jon anonymously... Something like [email protected] ??

I for one am really disappointed... I took time off work for this? (I'm a one man show so they need to know ASAP) I wanted to see if he would go thru with it...but really I just wanted to go somewhere and do something. Jon blew it... I'm sure Roger,Rich and whatever other little puppets he has will say some ******** but oh well. Fact of the matter is if I didn't see the event on the drag strip web site I wasn't going. Nothing worse than going 1000 miles each way to sit in staging lane all day.

So I'm up for something different. Would be nice if we could do something closer but I'll consider it anyway.

So start brainstorming people!!

Frank

I see they just added it to the schedule on the Thompson website. But, another group will be using the track as well as any walk-ons.

IMO, piggy backing a T&T and regularly scheduled races dosn't constitute "Track rental" and I agree, the $15 registration fee is probably what the gate charges just to wait in line behind every other bracket racer that shows up in thier grocery getter.

OK, anyone planning on going? I have given it some thought in great detail. It's not worth driving 1000+ miles and spending time off from work for a simple test and tune which this obviously is. I am however considering flying in (and collecting my $1000 to win bet - LOL). I have found some (fairly) reasonable flights into Cleveland and the "rent-a-wreck" prices for cars isn't bad either. I'd probably fly in Sat evening (shows around 6:00pm) and then fly out by a little after 5:00 that Sunday.

I am pretty sure I have someone going with one of my Jet Kits on their bike so I can still race and be within Jon's "rules". It will still be a strange bike to me but that doesn't have me concerned in the slightest.

Anyway, IF (and it's still a big IF), I do decide to fly in I can always bring some more kits and help get them installed for anyone interested. I'd need to get an idea in advance so I can get the parts and have the kits ready to go before I leave.
