Hmm, you may have had a bad batch, I'd give him some email and tell him.

Damn I sure hope not - I bought them in April and just didn't get round to fitting them until now.. They sure look flat, I still think it's a caliper alignment problem.

Off to NYC for the weekend, will have to deal with it next week! :confused2:

I run them too and then work great! It does feel a lot different (the feel of the pads gripping the rotor) but I think you can attribute that to different designs of the rotors. The pads are not riding on the smooth surface of the stock rotors and the feeling I get is one of the pads running across the the many edges of the design machined into the rotor. This is my first set of wavy rotors so I may be off base, but I was told this was probably what I was feeling.

Decided to flush coolant and while at it remove/clean the starter motor. Man, this thing is dirty. Hope to have it back together tomorrow sometime.

I finished the reservoir covers cause, yes it's still friggin' raining!!

Flood warnings coming on the county emergency net left and right!! We got 4 1/2" the night before last (some areas got almost 8"!) and at least another 2" today! :bang head:

So....I had to find something to do!

I like the satin or brushed look, I'll put a few coats of clear to finish them off.

The pic sucks, it makes the edges look soft and fuzzy but they really are very sharp and well defined.

Well having fitted the Intimators, wave rotors and Supertrapps, as well as removing the windshield for a while, I thought I'd take a few pics too.

And no, I didn't wash it and it's been raining quite a bit lately..

Please god tell me you have some new brake lines ordered...

Please?

Those are entirely to short.

Looks great otherwise. :eusa_dance:

For the brake pulsing check to make sure the disk buttons (the part that holds the disk to the webbing/hub) are clean and move free. You can also put a bit of graphite on them as a lube but DO NOT use oil.

I rode to work today only to rediscover my slipping clutch issue. I'm thinking I might borrow my friend's MightVac tonight and make sure there aren't any air bubbles in my lines. Would air in the clutch lines cause random, instantaneous slippage?

i'll let someone who knows more chime in, but i feel like if there were bubbles it would be hard to disengage...

since if u think about brakes, bubbles make the brakes not engage properly, not, not release properly.

so the bubbles only affect the motion o fpulling in the lever, putting stress on the system, which would be disengaging the clutch

so i feel if u had bubbles it wouldn't want to disengage properly...

i could be 100% wrong tho

Yeah I was told that over on the VMOA site when I posted this same thing. It couldn't hurt to try though. I'm at a loss as to what could be causing it. The slave is brand new. The fluid is brand new. The frictions are brand new and the steels have been beadblasted. I did the DD also.
Either I put something together wrong when I replaced the slave, or there is a problem with my lines or the reservoir. It's alll really frustrating too.

Is the ball bearing still where it's supposed to be? You didn't pull out the push rod did you?

Chris

What ball bearing? And the "push rod" you speak of is the part that makes contact with the slave, right?
I'm pretty sure that I didn't pull it out.

And installed them.
Damn nice job Danny! See what a little spare time, some tools, creative thinking can do for a guy! :thumbs up:
I would say you could make a present out of some for me too if I wasn't going to change 'em this winter. And, no, I'm not getting married, just thought it'd be nice to get present. :biglaugh:
