I am fine. I rode the bike a 100 miles today. I had the Vboost turned off for smoothness. As it got warmer switched it back on. As I pulled out of this lot it was all black ice. And down I went.

The Handguards were stock on my KTM 690 SMC. I took them off when I got the bike. I had them laying around. Took all the wind off my hands. I rode over 100 miles today in under 40 degree temps and was not a bit cold or effected by wind.

The clutch lever and shifter bent. Both were fixed in teh vide when I got home. I have the first road rash ever. All my crashed were in full leathers on race tracks or on wild back roads. This time I was wearing Jeans with thermals. And I got a little on my knee and calf as I slid. But I am good.

oi man sorry! i was readin gon my phone and didn't even see the last pic. glad ur ok! they look good on there tho, work probably better than mine do as well.

Removed more parts off the Vmax to install the LED lighting. I'm going to mount 120 LEDs under the bellypan and about 200 elsewere to light up the engine bay.

I have to say, That bike looks nekkid without my Fatmax bellypan. I had the bike delivered to my house from the dealership in Dec '07, and the bellypan was the first thing I had done to it.

I Would buy it all over again, I'm still impressed with the quality of the unit. :clapping:

The bike kinda changed a little eh?

I agree with the belly pan. They look great, I'm glad I did mine. I found one for $50.00 on ebay and just made my own brackets. It was cracked, but I just had the painter drill it out and patch the hole, as well as another random inset hole passage that was in the mold for some random reason. Maybe for a radiator hose, not sure. Either way, they do look great.

Also, rode to work today, but on the Rocket/Sidecar. It was 45-F and POURING rain. What a bloody fun drive. Its great being able to lay into the brakes and hammer on the throttle without fear of falling over. Needless to say, I got to work smiling today.

I started mine today and let it warm up in the garage while I put my snowblower back together and did some shoveling:bang head:

Went out to take the Gen 1 for a stroll (hadn't been ridden in a couple of days due to snow and cold here), and it would hardly turn over and wouldn't start. I knew a battery replacement was coming, but I had been putting it off. At least I was stranded in my garage.

Anyway, headed out and bought an Odyssey PC680 locally, and installed it this afternoon. Seemed a bit taller than the OEM, but fit just fine. And man, when you hit the starter button...wow. What an improvement. Fired right off, spun the starter like never before.

Sort of amazed that I didn't get it in backwards, upside down or wasn't subjected to a ball of fire when I hit the starter. :biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh:

Yep that is what mine did too when it was installed, and it's still doing it over 6 months later!:punk:

Jayhawk, where did you get your Odyssey? I'm due for a batt. but dont want to pay shipping if I can find one local.

I got mine at Batteries Plus, 1725 North Central Expy Plano , 972-423-6100. You can beat their price by $20 if you order it...but I didn't want to wait since my bike was dead. Guys had it in stock and load tested it for me before I left.

I ran the bike today as I plowed the snow...

Can the 'Max get through....?

Wow, thats a shitload of snow! I guess I need to be thankful that we only got 6" on Christmas Eve.

Now back to the thread.... Last week I re-installed the ceramic coated rear headers and S-trapp cans. No more turning gold from the heat and they run a lot cooler now:biglaugh: I also powdercoated some new pegs I picked up. Thanks again for the good deal Garrett:eusa_dance:
