Going to pick up the parts i dropped off to the powder coaters on thursday of last week and get them anadized instead, found a company that does a one bin charge instead of indivdual pieces, still going to get the exhaust powder coated though. This is all for the 09,tell me what you think.Im going satin black on the front head pipes and exhaust tips and flat black on the cans,do tell.:confused2:

I think the combo of flat & satin black powdercoat will work perfectly Sheldon. It should look terrific on yer '09! :thumbs up::thumbs up::thumbs up:

can you post some info on the fazer, its a sharp looking bike?

Thx 190,....here's some browsing sires for you to check out.
Unfortunately I thought I could hold on to it , but the mod monkey has me it his mercy. I have been lusting after the Max for many years ,...thinking how I would like to have it look.
Soooo,....money being tight ,...and seeing it just sitting in the back of my garage....(too expensive to insure both bikes. Grand a piece).
I think I have to part with it ...."sniff"
:tantrum: :wave bye:

Today the max got a new set of hand grips and driving lights mounted to the bottom of the frame (it looks like a ufo comming up the road ) and I fabricated a pair of highway pegs from a pair of foot pegs from my honda (which is rotting in the shed).
I`m seriously considering parting it out.

1980 cb 900 custom
engine is in good shape and has a sub transmission.
frame is straight and the front end is good.
drive shaft , air shocks front and rear.
tank and side covers are in good shape and has camelion paint .
all emblems are good.
everything else is in good shape and has a clean title too.
carbs are jetted also (one size up).:punk:

Woke up , it was cloudy but warm outside so i rung in sick threw on my gear and chucked the missus on the back of the Max and headed south and round lake Wairarapa dodging the odd shower of rain until the sun came out .
We made our way to Lake Ferry Hotel for lunch and a romantic stroll along the water front before heading home , where she threw me on the bed and rode me like there was no tomorrow

Doesn't get much better than that!!!!

Needed some bags of cement for repairs to some livestock pens. Went down to the local hardware and picked up three bags of dry pre-mix concrete (60kg total weight).

Wrapped them in a burlap bag and strapped them to the pillion seat :surprise::surprise::surprise: and rode home (10ks).

The guy at the hardware store couldn't believe his eyes and said no-one had ever picked up bags of concrete on a bike before. :rofl_200::rofl_200::rofl_200:

I told him he should live in Indonesia or Vietnam for a while. They move whole buildings (a bit at a time) on tiny motorcycles. :clapping::clapping::clapping:

Oh yeah. It was a bit like riding with an unconscious pillion passenger on the back.

Live to Ride. :punk:

This post is worthless without :pics:
Looks like the powdercoating job came out great!

went for an insane ride ride on rt 62, great road for blast from 70 to 150, no traffic, with the t-boost on all the tine, it is amasing how fast you can get to 150mph

did about 100 miles in amish country dodging horse and buggys, just kidding, this is a great place to ride, it's like going back in time, any body gets the chance do it.

Finally got the bike back together after a week. I went through the electrical harness and soldered/repaired some old crimps. Also added anti-thief switch and relay for main switch bypass.
