What did you do to your Vmax today?

Removed the front header pipes on the '99, dropped the oil pan and did the O-Ring Pop Stopper fix from COO.

Also replaced the o-ring in the thermostat housing cover as long as I was in the neighborhood.

how do u like those grips? they look very 80's ish to me.. no offense... i actually like the stock grips myself...

sometimes my hands get stiff and sore, don`t know if it`s from all that guitar playing or my diabities so, the foam is just an added comfort for longer rides and my forks are a little stiff so they absorb some of the shock on bad roads (like most of our freeways) the only set back is you don`t have that solid grip feeling that you have with the stock grips.:bang head:

A year ago it would not have been a big deal......I was making a LOT more money.....


Now my income cannot sustain the blows car repairs have dealt me in the past couple of weeks.....

I don't WANT to sell it.....My wife doesn't want me to sell it.....

But I don't want to go into debt either.....so I see no choice....

Not a sob story, just something that happens in the roller coaster of life. I've been there before and it sucks. Hopefully things will turn around before you have to sell it. :cheers:

Yeah I`m sorry to hear that your selling your bike too.
I`m selling the guitar that I had always wanted but it spends more time hanging on the wall like a picture and thats probably why it`s still like new
I think if I had to sell my vmax I would be devastated because I know that I wouldn`t be able to get another one for a long time especialy after all the work that I`ve done to it .
I sure hope that God will open up a door for you, all you have to do is ask and have faith in him and I`m sure that something good will happen.:eusa_dance:

Well it was yesterday here but technically on this forum its today .
Rode the Max down to Wellington then up over to the west coast of north island were i meet up with the Kiwi Mod King - Jedi as he had just bought an 88. Another project for him to get his teeth into .
We haeding up the east coast then inland to Palmerston north to pop in on Hansi to have a look at her striped down 09 - #18 of 150 to head to aust/nz
then we said our goodbyes Jedi made the long trip to Auckand (took him another 7 hrs) and i cruised home for dinner .
Was a good day out , was good to meet a fellow Maxxer .
Cant wait to see Jedis creation and Hanshi is keen for a ride thats if we can keep up . :clapping:unk::clapping:

Good day today, took the Shadowmax out of hibernation. Went for a 60 mile run than took it home started taking parts off it. Will I ever learn :confused2:

So far changed the bars to a set of Pro Taper SE bars, new bar ends and grips - next is front end mods, rear brake mod, HAC backrest, LED tailight, mod signal lights to LED (orange this time :bang head

Looks like the Mod Monkey has found a new place to hang out for awhile - Can't resist, MUST MOD SOMETHING!!!

Got the motor mounts in ,...sprayed the dust off the engine and frame..did the split crimp fix on power wires in the battery area, (soldered up and re covered).
Sized up the rear brake bar ,...take it in to work on Mon, make a new one ,...

Is that power wire fix cutting the old wire and splice in bigger guage wire
