They aren't by any means. Sounds like he had mega scoops on it. Looks just like the gen 2 and is where Yamaha got the design idea.

Got a bike traded in this last weekend. Not sure if I am going to part it out, sell it as is, or what yet.

Sean

looking at pics the 09 scoops look really similar to what he had on, not the mega scoops. i could be mistaken though, i'll ask him. the reason being the 'intake' on the faux scoops were round with filters on them whereas the mega scoops look oval with a flat spot, not a smooth circle.

thats an interesting colour scheme. is it solid?

Solid? It's Candy Bradywine with realistic flames and skulls painted into it. Very expensive paint job (I estimated it around $6k for the paint).

Happy to have finally ordered a replacement rear fender for my 91' Max, along with a license plate relocator and a tail light eliminator kit as well! Excited to get going on my bike finally!

Soon: Paint, custom seat rework, SS lines all around, lowering front and rear, and a nice set of precision SS bolts for the whole bike! My timeline is spring, till Version 2.0..

Sounds like a mod monkey transformation is taking place! Can't wait to see how it turns out! :thumbs up:
What kit(s) did you get for a plate relocator/ tail light eliminator? If it's a Cycle One-off kit I would really like to see pics of it before it is installed, if you would please and thank-you. :thumbs up: :thumbs up:

Sun was out today. Welcome change from the last few weeks of fog. Went for a ride to lube up the seals and bearings. I try to do this every week or two. Also waiting for parts. Some things never change. Rand.

I had ordered Tyga fenders and a fork brace and thought I would install them today.
The rear one was easy. The front was a longer story.
I had never taken off the front wheel before, but I had my Haynes book and so I did it and then found out that the holes in the fork brace did not line up with the holes in the fender, so I have to send it back(again, first time it was scratched).

Then when putting the stock brace back on discovered some dumb P.O. had replaced three of the bolts with STANDARD ones, so I had to go buy new metric ones.(Luckily the standard ones hadn't stripped all the threads out of the holes)

Then I put my wheel back on, hope I did it right.:biglaugh:

Tried to start up the beastie but she just whined. Jumped her no problem. Got a new battery, warmed her up, gave her a quick two mile jaunt, and parked her again :-(

Very soon. Very soon she'll be back on the road.

prepping to put stuff back together.

waiting for the full 7 days to fully cure but i did up my flyscreen.

I hadn't seen one, Thanks Garrett. The fly screen is looking good too!
I also would like to see COO's inner fender eliminator too if anyone has done that mod. I'm going to try to make something up to replace that heavy hunk of steel I have on there now.

haha its actually flat black, the flash made it look that way.

i bet any flat spray paint would look really cool as i painted the inside of the shield. i bet a shiny or 'metallic' colour spray paint would look bad ass. the flat looks like 0% tint to be honest from the front.

Man, I was all excited about the Blue Fly Screen....:confused2: Black, You Say?:sad2:

Man Garrett when i first saw the blue i thought that would look great on your bike.
I think you need a little splash of color... IMO
