New rotors are on and calipers are mounted. I just need to get a couple of locking nuts (huh-huh) and some more blue loctite since Heretic accidentally ****** mine all over the place. :jerk it:

I'll post some pics tomorrow!

Bike's checked all over, gave it a good wash, quick polish on the paint, then rode it to work - all A-ok.
I'm all packed and ready for the morning, should be on the road with cowboy by 8am.

Deal's Gap here we come - woohoo! My first time inland by road into the US of A really, all other places were flown into. I can't wait.

speedo cable fell off wheel gear. weird. put it back on. works fine now. very odd.

still having intermittend 'shutoff' from COPs it seems...

I rode to work yesterday (as I had dropped my van off for some service), hit wet roads followed by some minor rain (last 5 minutes of the ride for the rain)..... now I have about 4 hours of detailing to clean the bike back up.... this is why I hate riding in rain :bang head:

Okay, here are a couple of pics. Lesson #1 for this mod. Did you know that you can bleed the system faster when you tighten the banjo bolts? HOLY ****! lol

Hey Mark. Is that one of those "Objects In Mirror Are Scarier Than ****" :biglaugh:

The calipers & hoses look good, though:eusa_dance:

Too funny Clay. The wife allowed me to take the brown paper bag off my head. Sorry about that. lol

Look'n good Mark. When i said i'd just bolt them on, i thought you'd clean them up first! I'd ask for my $$$ back. Can't believe someone would ship something dirty like that....what a bum that guy must be! :)

Yeah that same bum sent me an exhaust that had all this black sooty stuff on the inside. What the heck is up with that.:rofl_200:

LoL. The rest of the bike is dirty and I didn't want clean calipers jumping out. I cleaned the pistons/pads....good enough for me!

No kidding, eh? He may be a cantidate for a pig pen award or sump'n...

What a bum and an discrace to the V-max Community!

I guess the big question is how does it stop now???

Took a few dozen quick stops to get pads/rotors wearing together but now....****. The lever feel is just awesome. It's like my lever is directly connected to the caliper pistons. I was giggling like a little Fargo the entire test ride.

I still say this modification is a MUST for guys with older vmax's. Almost worth putting on older forks on your newer bikes - lol. Stock masters work perfect with them to give a very nice predictable feel.
