Took a few dozen quick stops to get pads/rotors wearing together but now....****. The lever feel is just awesome. It's like my lever is directly connected to the caliper pistons. I was giggling like a little Fargo the entire test ride.

Thats some funny **** right there :rofl_200::rofl_200::rofl_200:

tightened steering head bearing nuts.
found bolt missing on left side passenger peg mount
tried to mount steering damper. cracked mount. sending replacement. place has top notch service!

I had a problem with my spark plug cap (#4 cyl) arcing and causing a misfire. I fixed that with some paint on electrical tape (temp fix). I ordered a set of COP's from Mar(Birdoprey) which should take care of that issue for good.
I wanted to test if Redbone was running properly so I ran it up the street a ways and came backto the drive way where my brother had walked out to enjoy the sound of the marks exhaust. I talked to him for a second as he was pointing out his lame attemps at doing a burn out. I said, hold my beer, watch this....well not really but I did drop into 2nd grear and let 'er rip! Here are the results:

I put on my progressive 12.5" 440's recently. Dropped the forks in the trees and am trying to experiment to see how short I like them. They are set with a 1" drop right now. Someday I will throw in the ricors and lower the forks. Figured a pic couldn't hurt.

For the 3rd...or 4th time this summer I'm going to wash the ******. Birdofprey hurt my feelings on the "dirty caliper" comment.

Mike-your bike will be standing more straight up & down on the kickstand now with the lowering....it will roll off the stand or fall over much easier.

82nd ground his kickstand stop down a little which he said helped. Might be somethin' to think about.

danny

Its easy to hurt your feelings when you are a sissy :clapping::biglaugh::eusa_dance::rofl_200:

Yup, I'm emotional. That's how I get the ladies.

:wkwk:

I hauled the max out to go for a rip over to the old airport, my wife was there taking the Motorcycle Safety Course... I had been on the bike for no more than 10 minutes and half way there when the rain came... GRRRR, I said screw it and kept going.... so tomorrow I now have 4 hours of detailing to clean her up..... the bike, not the wife :D

Posted this on Facebook tonight...

Helped friend get a Morley 1300 cc VMAX bike back together.

Step by step on how to get a visit by local constable.

1) Have friend take bike out for a test ride at 1 am.....Kerker 4-1 and NO baffle.
2) Clutch barely working... either on off right a...way.
3) Cadlillac dual tail lights (lol)
4) BEER Good times.

Only regret was when Wasser didn't get phone number of Ms. police officer.

replacing some powdercoated parts.
upper tripple tree clamp
handlebars
handlebar risers
headlight crown
flyscreen mounts
grab bar

then going back to stock ignition.
then mounting my steering damper. part was overnighted. left Cali @ 4:30 yesterday, in my hands at 11:10 this morning.
then i have to put a stock rotor back on the rear.

busy day. lunch time now. will check back later

oh and by the way sean, top notch on the p/cing. esp thankful that the throttle part of the handlebars was left. only thing i had to do was retap a couple beginning of threads and i may have to sand down the p/c on the inside of the clamps of the tripple. i banged 'em on once with a mallet and got 'em off but i'd like 'em to slide better.

finished all the p/c. man that looks sharp. i like the front end looks. handlebars need to be rotated a tad down but we're good.

grab bar looks sick. had to sparypaint the reflector holder thingy quick as it was grey. but now it all came together.

a rear rotor off of i think an 89 to do some tests. no squealing but man that sucks for braking.

stock igintion, no misfires or anything, one pop but that was probably because i was cruising in first at 8k rpms...

now for the steering damper. i know they'res tons of talk on these. i think it works nice. on the highest setting i punched the handlbars and it wouldn't wobble, it wnated to but it wouldn't. but then i couldnt' do any low-speed turning.

second highest setting only allows a wobble when i really punch the bars. i think i'm in business...

oh and i had had the furbur fix. problem with it is, you crush the rubber washer. so i got a 'welded ring' from the hardware store instead of a $5 washer and it works great for what it is.

overall front end feels like a rock, but until my ebc brakes get here, my rear brake feels like ****..

exhausted.

here ya go. not the best but u get the idea.
