I was busy today! My you tube Uncle Rick. Turn signals, rejected, delete rear fender, taillight Mod, Gafer front brake lines, volt meter usb port and tomorrow Headlight Mod, clutch, throttle cable rear brake lines, drag bars and Leds in radiator shroud. Fun fun fun. It will.all be on my YouTube channel

I cleaned the polished lips on my wheels. They were downright nasty.
Now I realize that not powder coating the whole wheel was a mistake for someone like my who despises cleaning a motorcycle.

Worked on a paint job today black base with an indigo blue stripe and then a true blue pearl over tue whole thing . It really makes the stripe subtle. It will be for sale but not to worried if it sells Christine loves it and so do I so I will just give her bike a make over if it dont sell quick.

I like it! That design does look familiar to me :rofl_200:

Did my charging system upgrade, cut out the connector and soldered the stator wires direct to the regulator, ran the pos and neg reg wires direct to the battery with a 30A fuse inline on the pos side, running voltage now at 14.2 and hot Idle with fan running 13.3.............Tom.

The regulator was working good so I left it, the charging system was working ok before, I have just wanted to make the upgrade for a while now, the connectors I removed were actually in good shape with no corrosion or heat signatures, at 43K I expected to find more than I did, I also installed the battery tender pigtail while I was in there...................Tom.

Rebuilt my fuel cap! It was so hard to operate I thought I might break the key! Just remove the two screws and slowly remove the bottom paying attention to the springs and how they press against the keepers. Sanded all the corrosion off, filled it up with moly grease and WOW what a difference!! Super smooth and easy to remove and install.

Installed the forward controls. I like the look and they feel natural when riding.

Took the 05 for its first longish ride. The UFO slash cuts are definitely head turners, and probably borderline obnoxious. My girl said she heard me about five minutes after I left the house, which was me ripping out of the gas station about a mile away....so yeah... they are freakin LOUD. Bike rides great.
