After installing red LED lights in my scoops, I liked the red effect so much I ordered 4 red led strip lights to mount along the frame rails to shine down on the engine. I got two of them in and they look good...now I still need to mount the fronts.

mounted the SPIKES on my frame braces. love the look.

COPS are working again, no studders, backfires, tboost still broken. oh well.

you'll have to excuse the water, she was getting a bath. that spray that sean and chris recommended works great too!

also noticed my ceramic coating is starting to flake off. maybe talk to sean about it. could probably touch it up with high temp flat black paint tho.

They look really cool Garrett!! :clapping: Nice job of mounting too, well spaced and straight! :thumbs up:

I did more dirtbike work last night. Not too much tho. removed rear brake master cyl, reservoir, and tube between the two. Flushed the 18 year old fluid out of every part in the rear brakes. Tore apart the master, polished the bore, cleaned the seals, polished the plunger, cleaned reservor, etc. lubed it up with clean fluid and put it all back together. Tried to bleed via reverse injection with a syringe but no luck.:bang head:. I think I was getting air past the threads of the bleeder :confused2:. Ended up doing it the old fashioned way. It worked wonders for pedal feel. :punk:

thanks danny. got lucky in the holes that were already there musta been like sized 8. a 21 drill and 10-32 tap worked perfectly. on ehole gave me a bit of trouble. had to re-tap like 3 times, still not perfect but pretty damn close.

used the rubber strap from a strap wrench to tighten them down with a tad of loctite. just hand tight though. figured if i ever need them off i can use vice grips or vice grips with rubber

I fitted a cybermoose headlight!

got me! It hasn't gotten dark yet. I can tell you what I think it will be like in the dark....

**** teeeeee:biglaugh:

Took my whole front apart again today, rechecked everything and found that my upper fork lobes (that hold the brake calipers) are 0.1mm thinner than the lower ones :bang head: That prolly accounts for the fact that my calipers aren't exactly aligned, causing that vibration I'm feeling when braking since fitting the wave rotors and adapter plates. Still, I cleaned everything up, made sure all surfaces were as flat as poss, cleaned up all the piston surfaces in the calipers, put it all back together, and it seems marginally better, if not quite right yet.

Got more Seafoam and Shell Rotella-T as I'd run out, and dropped a few ounces of our fave additive in my tank. :eusa_dance:

Then I rode to work - joy oh joy a whole 8.8 miles of straight line.. :biglaugh:

Also bought a pair of those Fiamm AM-80 horns, but no time to fit them yet. Funny how both Advance and PepBoys sell the 'replacement' (125dB) model at $16.99, and the 'traffic blaster' (132dB) model at $19.99, and looking at them closely they are actually identical!!! :confused2:

Let's hear them soon :clapping:

Today was a good day ,Fargo came over and we had a little wrenching party (more like a carb party.:biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh:
We switched needles and jets and I went back to stock springs needles and jets (hopefully now I`ll get some more impressive m.p.g. #`s
while Fargo`s bike only got meaner and I got the honor of riding that beast. (one awesome max and the power is incredible)
The bike runs slightly tame until you hit 4g`s then before you know it your hanging on for dear life and wishing that the car in front of would just get the hell out of the way !!!LOL. when I came back, the first thing I said was
"man I got to get me one of these"and I thought pulling on to the freeway at 90 mph. was fun.
Fargo is a good friend to have and, I`m glad he`s my friend.:eusa_dance:

I am honored to have a friend such as you too Dave.
Now that the man love is over :puke: We did have a carb party
I gave him my stock needles and springs, and took his stage 1 adjustable needles with another set of stock springs. Lowered my mains from 155 to 150 and we dropped his mains from Dyna 170 (mikuni 157s) to 147s. Honestly I was a little nervous letting him take the bike out but he came back shiny side up so all is ok.
It is still a small stutter around 4500 rpm or so when just cruising but with the stage 1 needles it is better than with stock. I am close to getting it dialed in with the new cams.

Went to the car show. Represented the Vmax collective as the sole bike in the burnout contest, you had 15 sec to throw the smoke. Even the Harley crowd was in to it.

I heard from several people, I was either the best or a coin toss between first and second. seems like quite a few people were impressed that a little tire can smoke with the cars.
Two more rounds to go tomorrow and we'll see.

Here are some of the pics.

HAHAHA Today I took her "hood" off and showed my buddy my V-MAX can suck your hand into its air box WAY better than my buddies 2007 CBR can.It started with his new K&N and a "feel how much air sucks into the air box" and ended with my carbs almost sucking the rings off his fingers.LMAO sure did blow his mind! -Ace

I shimmed the clutch lever to remove the slop in the mount. I used a thin (0.014 piece of plastic , hope it holds untill I get some brass shim stock. Works Perfect.

going outside after breakfast and jump start the bike and synch and adjust
my carbs and see what I get.
I`m kinda excited that my gas mileage is going to improve (a great deal I hope) and, to you Fargo, Iv`e been riding for a good 30 years and, the one thing that I have instilled in my self is, to always respect other peoples property I too will only allow an experienced rider get on my bike and thats why it made me feel pretty good when you let me ride yours. didn`t notice a stumble but you know your bike better that anyone.
But, you f`d up by letting me ride it because now I want headers and a bigger motor too.LOL:biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh: gotto start playing that lotto.:eusa_dance:

Went to the show, I won the first two burnout contests. Ended up second in the third. I lost to a R6 and his posse. They lined me up againt him and did the hand over the head thing, and although quite a few ppl said I put out more smoke. The cheers of about 15 teenagers was enough to give the guy the win.

Don't know about the bike class in the show, They are tallying up the votes now, and I had to get out of there. the sun was killing me.

I burn real easy even with sun block. I have a couple of blisters forming now on my arms and head.

But I don't think I'll win, I was getting votes, but so was a streched busa and ZX14 with some sweet rims. but all of us agree'd the lil mini chopper would win. people were falling over that thing with there kids and the cries of "Vote for this one daddy" filled the air.

All and all it was a fun event. I can't wait until next year. Here are a few pictures, I'll post some more later on.
