Nice work both Shel & Jeff, your bikes are looking BAaaaddd!!!
Hey jeff you have a awesome looking bike, great work.I went out tonight after i installed the billet rings on the 09 on the 02 with a few locals for a short tute, and of course i went last as i have the slowest bike, lol, there was a 39 year old triumph ahead of me when all of a sudden it blew a oil line and me and the bike got covered with oil,i speed up to tell him and when he stopped i had to clear my glasses to make eye contact with the guy and said you need to fix that hunk of junk or sell it for a case of beer.I was not impressed say the least, just finished cleaning the bike as well.Well thats my luck but you know what they say it only happens to the ones that can handle it,and ******* tired of it.:damn angry:
Glad to hear the oil didnt make you drop it.
Cheers
oil is a nice precleaning agent though! If you look at the area where the oil leaks on an engine after cleaning it's amazing how clean it will be around that leak spot. Softens old nasty stuff up well (not like your bike has any old anything on it)

Changed the engine and rear gear oil, installed a COO oil pressure gauge. I was going to go back to Rotella 15w40 non synthetic oil but I thought that I would give the synthetic 5w40 another run. My clutch slips a little in higher gears until the engine is fully warmed up, then it works normally. I bled the brakes last night b/c I thought my lever travel was a little excessive, work better now. :thumbs up:
Also mounted the sissy bar in anticipation of my trip to the Spring Ice Breaker that the VMOA is sponsoring in Southern Ontario this weekend. The weather looks good for the event too which is a plus!unk:

Thanks Garrett, I really appreciate all the trouble you're going through to get those washers to me.
I have only had the OP gauge on for about 15 min of running time, but so far so good with no leaks. Engine oil pressure looks good too!
